File size is around 17 gigs
113 videos.
Epic Reich footage along with U.S. news reel stuff, cool ass training films and so on. Some pacific videos as well.
Lot of color stuff.

This is one of three folders of video.

None of these came from torrents, I ripped them all myself.
Don't know the contents of the Reich torrent that is on the board, may be some overlap
but I doubt very much

Good stuff anon(s). It's hard to come by some of the older and more vague Nam and WW2 stuff nowadays.
Anyone know of any good Korea torrents. Last one I saw was the "Korea 1" with the Skyraiders and Phantom II folders from around a year and a half ago I think.

I found some sets of the pho/t/o left on my HDD, and tried to find the magnets/torrents.

So far, I found "Korea 1", "Warplanes" and "Vintage America"
Otherwise I have World War 1 and Space left, but they will need a re-check by qBittorrent, thus I'm not completely sure if they will be at 100%, or stuck somewhere at 90-98% due to some piece failure.
If someone loves to see one of these torrents seeded, reply and I will post the magnet links with working trackers.

I have been transferring to the external today and getting folders organized.
Came across one I am going to share. It's about the birth of the Airplane.

The collection comes out of the LOC.
It contains two folders. One has photos taken by the Wright Bros
during the years they spent developing their flying machine.
Working with gliders first and then the slow transition to a controlled flight airplane

There are 125 photos from the Wright Bros album and 80% pertain to the R&D of the airplane.

The pics are HUGE. Old silver glass negatives. The origilnal
files were tiff files around 200mb+ each. Even after I converted them to jpeg they still average 25mb. Resolution is in the 7500x6000 range.

I am going to put them up as is. They tend to pixalate slightly at full res
but considering their historical nature, it's best to pass them on as is.

I had to resize some of the general stuff. File sizes were retarded
and at full scale some were grainy. The resize still resulted in nice HR

Yea the trackers are shit. The anons tried to help me somewhere in the thread with a link to a new list. I seem to focus on other aspects and don't make time to fix my set up.

On another note, I am interested in what the anons have experienced as far as download speeds. Not for my stuff but in general.
I download my sets sometime just to check seeders. Man that WWII bunch of seeders
are still going like madmen. I checked it today and these were the results.

4.67g, time to dl 16 min.
Avg. speed 4.8g
Peaks at 8g.

I think that is bretty fast.
What have you anons experienced?

Just curious, how do you come by such HUGE quantities of photos in series like these ? Do you just spend your time looking for images of Vietnamese and save them all? Like really, do tell...

I have discussed this before but I will give you a summary.

I use an add-on to my browser that will locate and download images
on a web site page. "Down them all" is one and there are a few others.
Next step is to find sites, where the ripper works, and look in their galleries
or archives.

I ripped several of my sets from the LOC (Library of Congress) and other places like tumblr.
Oh shit anon said he used tumblr.
Yea, whatever.
I have ripped nice sets from there.
The OCD neet faggots on that site make a lot of topic specific archives.

Really no magic to what I do, it just takes some time to find the right site to download from
