Personally, I really liked that one where there was 16 teams directly qualified to Group Stage and the other 32 teams played a First Stage, where the 16 winners would make it to the Group Stage and from there just a regular WC. It would reduce the elimination process from 48 matches to 32 or even 16 if it was one legged. I really like it since I always wanted the qualies to decide the seeds instead of just recurring to the FIFA rankings.

Sadly it seems like most countries rated more playing 2 matches before saying goodbye instead if just one, even if those two matches were against the same NT.

Imagine if Southamerica didn't get into so many civil wars/political separations.
