I don't know how it is since Dan O'Dowd left, but at one point the Rockies embraced a Christian-based code of conduct from the top on down. In order for a meme to be funny, it must be grounded in reality. /mlb/ is not funny. They say the Yankees/Dodgers/Cubs/Giants/Rangers are terrible, yet get ecstatic when they lose. They say that Clayton Kershaw sucks, but then get ecstatic when he has a bad outing. In reality, when something terrible does terrible, it's performing to expectations and shouldn't really be anything worth shitposting about. Do you shitpost every time Jared Weaver has a bad start? I didn't think so. It's just forced and calling these things terrible is not grounded in reality, therefore not funny.

Memes like "Craig Biggio" and "muh rings" are funny, because they are legitimate things that fans of those teams actually resort to.

Since there are so limited amount of memes that /mlb/ can create that are actually grounded in reality, you all have to force the issue. This is why you created/embrace characters such as DG and mo'Lester. These posters are clearly just trolls trying to get a reaction out of people, yet you always give them the benefit of the doubt. This allows you all to pretend that the retarded things that they say are genuine statements from true fans, which allows you to pretend that the shitty memes that you force from them are grounded in reality. "Under the conditions I deem fair" and "6 DUDES" is just a pseudo attempt at creating something realistic, while keeping /mlb/'s tradition of loving the outrageous, even if it's clearly a troll.
