I don't think he's going to last long enough for the Patriots to get him.

I don't think the Patriots will repeat.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did, but I wouldn't bet on it as of 3/6/17

Who can stop them?
>>
I honestly think McCaffrey will end up being the #1 RB out of this class overall and will have a much longer career as it's not solely based on athleticism.

His form is absolutely perfect and he knows offenses and defenses schematically how to use that knowledge in his running.

Why are we pretending that the Falcons didn't dominate the Patriots for 2/3's of that game and have a 25 point lead midway through the third quarter?

Why are we pretending that the Patriots are invincible when it took the greatest, most im-fucking-probable comeback of all time and a lucky coin flip for them to win?

Not really. I hate the Falcons and found their meltdown to be hilarious and entertaining, but it was first and foremost a meltdown (especially with that terrible play-call when they were in field-goal range) on their behalf that allowed the Patriots to win that game.

To act like the Patriots are unstoppable when they spent 3 quarters getting their shit pushed it is just a blatant fucking lie.

I'm fully aware that the Patriots won, but if you think the most complete collapse in the history of the owl inviting the Patriots to barely sneak into overtime and win via a coin-flip is convincing enough to imply that they can't be challenged or stopped, you're a fucking retard.

Which wouldn't be all that surprising, considering your flag.

i think the only ones who did truly challenge the patriots were the seahawks. both very balanced in regards to their offense and defense, but brady and belichick both sort of knew the falcons were an inexperienced super bowl team as they were saying teams usually get tired around the third quarter and whaddya know the falcons were gassed by the time the third quarter ended. mind games!

Yes, the Falcons technically had a chance, but their chance was definitely less opportune than the Patriots.

We're talking about two offensively-driven teams here. Winning the coin-flip isn't decisive but it was definitely an advantage if you'd rather face your opponent's defense than their offense. Don't be fucking dumb.

Patriots are a balance driven team and balance wins championships. They were well equipped to lose the toss and still be in position to win.

That's why they're favourites to win next year too.

>>
>>74527826
>t. Bungles fan

cleary you're not. Andrew Whitworth has been one of the most underrated and consistent OT's in the NFL for the last 10 years. He ranked No.2 overall in PFF for O linemen over the 2016 season and allowed 15 pressures total in 637 snaps

Any team would improve adding him to their roster
>>
>>74527339

Because the Falcons weren't playing like a team up 21-3 through the half. The Pats had a fumble inside the 30 when they were driving hard down field and stopping the Falcons on D pretty effectively when the game was still zero all (the resulting ATL drive resulting in a TD), then Brady's very uncharacteristic pick 6. Two plays go differently and that game could easily have been 17-7 Pats led instead of 21-3 ATL lead going into the half. The Falcons were lucky to ever be ahead desu.

Because it's a different technique to playing CB than it is WR. The footwork and reads are completely different.

> maybe cornerbacks are just failed wide receiver (people with slippy hands ?)

This happens in college and high school, where speedy lanky players that can't catch are made to play CB instead of WR. NFL is way too late for a stone-handed WR to learn how to play corner.

Team going 2nd has the advantage under college rules since they know their situation and what they have to do. For example, if team A scores a touchdown, then team B now has 4 downs to match them and can go all out while team A has to drive with turnovers and field position in mind
>>

>>74530601
thats my point

testaverde isnt even close to a hof qb, let alone Brady and played forever, so I think Brady could too.

Also Testaverde was pretty good for the ravens and Jets.
>>

No way Thomas leaves the top 5 friendo

wtf are the redskins doing

cousins is their first good qb in a long ass time
mccloughan is their first good gm in a long ass time

and it looks like they're trying to get rid of both.

it's shit like this why they haven't been to an nfccg since 1991

roseman wasn't gm when hicks was drafted

roseman 1st draft was great (last year)

wentz r1 - great pick franchise guy, easily better than goff, dodged the bullet of goff and that is important. inb4 obsessed cowgirls

seumalo r3 - good pick can start G/C was behind depth all year and also had short offseason because he finished his degree

Smallwood r5 - bad pick imo, he did well as change of pace young guy behind fumble mathews and sproles getting older, i dont see him with the team for long

Vaitai r5 - excellent pick, OT played well after lane johnson left with the exception of his first game against the redskins

Countess r6 - bad pick not with the team anymore, didnt make it to 53 at all

Mills r7 - great pick round 7 corner can potentially start in the future he slid because of injury, didnt get hurt all year and performed acceptably

mccalister r7 - torn acl in camp cant rate

Walker r7 - torn acl in preseason cant rate

garret is better than bosa (just looking at combine and tape obv because garret hasn't played a snap in the nfl)
and the eagles d line is stacked
they don't look good on stat sheets because they play tough nfc east o lines 6 games a year instead of beating up turnstile o lines in other divisions
>>
>>74530855
eagles wont get garret either though
>>
>>74530855
Bosa had better production as a rookie than anyone else ever in terms of per snap basis. Garret is going to be a beast, but athleticism alone isn't good enough. Bosa has some of the best hands for an NFL pass rusher and he'll only get better over the next few years.
>>
>>74530838

you gotta take into account the haul he gave up for wentz and compare it to what they could've gotten by not trading up to make a proper judgement.
>>
>>74530838
desu I think Wentz will have a great career but the whole "well he isnt Goff" argument is kinda lackluster.

thats like giving the colts gm credit for not taking rg3

not really. He got his 1st pock back. They really didnt give up a lot, and a franchise qb is worth plenty.

The one risk he did take knowing Wentz was his guy from the start is that he was at the Rams mercy, hoping the Rams were incompetent enough to get goff because muh california native memes
>>
>>74530290

shut the fuck up wop, you do realize he's totally correct. the blount fumble happened when pats were close (-7 for pats) and the pick 6 was again when the pats were close to scoring a TD (-7 for pats +7 ATL) so thats a big fucking difference in 2 plays. first half could have been 17-13 ATL or 17-10 ATL easily

what the fuck is your point? that if the eagles made a huge blunder they'd be rightly criticized for it?

Goff had a fucking terrible year so it'd be alarming if Wentz didn't play better than he did.

Wentz has a lot of potential but nothing he did his rookie year convinces me he's a franchise quarterback yet.

Wentz is also older than most prospects so he should be farther along.

At that point you can argue he takes someone other than Goff if Wentz was taken
Either way
Fact is that he took Wentz and had been good and shows he can develop and he didn't give up a huge bounty at all
He also flipped Sam Bradford for a 1st
And fuck the autist that thinks vaitai didn't play well. He isn't as good as lane Johnson but he was acceptable

>>
>>74532382
I just meant in terms of the front seven. Brown's need more elite players in the secondary.
>>
I-is this the Browns' year?
>>
>>74532469
from what i've seen of the browns, they need elite players in every single position but maybe LT. the secondary is suspect, but this may be an all-time great draft for cornerbacks and the browns have like 5 picks in the top 65 or something.

if they think foster is the player he projects to be, it would be smarter to take a talent of his level earlier on, since there aren't quality MLBs available later in the draft.
>>
>>74532487
In terms of being somewhat competitive? Maybe, they've got a super favorable schedule and tons of draft capital

>>74532469
Body-Calhoun and Haden were solid this year and they just added Powell so I don't think they need to jump at secondary in the first 12 picks especially with how loaded secondary is in this draft
>>
>>74532487
I suspect next year, or the year after that. Hopefully it coincides with Rapistburger and Flacco retiring and Marvin Lewis being fired and blowing up the Bengals.
>>74532508
The Browns are pretty set at RB for the time being, as well so long as they are able to hold on to Crowell. Him and Duke Johnson really came into their own last year.
>>74532547
I love Body-Count, what a great pickup. But I am getting so tired of Haden. He's just losing steps every year, and he's seemingly constantly hurt and having to play through it. I did forget about Powell, though.

>>
>>74532973
>This is said LITERALLY every single year.
no it isn't. just because the last two years have been relatively poor classes doesn't make a blanket statement like that anywhere close to true. the reason trubisky is getting any sort of hype is because watson had a shittier year than in 2015, despite the natty.

next year's class has heisman finalist baker mayfield, heisman winner lamar jackson, guys like mason rudolph, josh rosen, sam darnold, etc. it's retarded to dismiss that because "it happens every year hurr durr" because it doesn't. people get hyped to shit every year, but there isn't the legitimate depth that this next class should have.

i'm not even defending goff, he was overdrafted in a bad QB class, a point i was making earlier.

cam newton has a super bowl appearance and an MVP award, more than 95% of anyone ever to play in the NFL can say. luck already has 3 playoff wins in a sport where even very good QBs can struggle to win that many in a career, cuz y'know, it's a team sport? how exactly are either of them "frauds"? you shouldn't use words you don't know the meaning of.

most #1 overalls go to really bad teams. It's kinda stupid to expect one player to change a team's culture.

Newton's career has been really up and down but he's won an mvp and has taken his team to a super bowl.

Luck is overrated but at least a franchise quarterback and is well above average.

The Bucs have been a mess for a long time but Winston at least has made them competitive in games the last two years.

Goff sucked last year but the rams were about as bad a place a rookie can go.

Time will tell with the Jets. The current organization is dealing with the poor drafting choices of Idzik. Maccagnan did a good job of making veteran contracts front loaded without future consequences. 2/10 because I smiled either way
>>
>>74534405
yeah, his contracts are really designed well, and even Revis seemed like more Woody Johnson pulling the strings.

It's just honestly I didn't like Drafting Petty or Hackenberg and still don't.

Leonard Williams was an obvious hit but he was an easy pick. Devin Smith got fucked with injuries.

It's too early to really evaluate his drafts in full and a few guys definitely have promise, and he's done amazing in building the receiver depth chart but he's done a shitty job of reconstructing the secondary, albeit there was no real talent there when he was hired.
>>
>>74534440
I don't think he is a good choice for the Jets. My understanding is that he is a bruiser running back. I'd rather have a gut like Dalvin cook who can also play a role in the passing game. Would also prefer trading down for more picks. I do agree we need a rb but I think other positions have more importance

>Browns letting Pryor go

Fucking kek, what idiots.
>>
>>74534427
i think you've got a lot of the right people in the first, but the order is kind of fucky.

i really don't think the 49ers would take kizer over any other QB on the board, but you could make the argument that since both the coach and GM have 6 year extensions. same thing with humphrey and the saints, there are better corners like sidney jones or quincy wilson at that point. i don't love williams to the eagles, but it's not terrible. jarrad davis at 17 seems a little high because of his medical concerns. you also mocked cam robinson twice, but i assume one of them is supposed to be ryan ramczyk? lastly the patriots could take njoku, but i don't think it's likely even with bennett leaving in FA.
>>
>>74534482
*since both the coach and GM have 6 year extensions, they can afford to draft a project.
>>
>>74534462
On the point of Devin Smith, was he injury prone in college? If you remember dee milliner he went first round and just never played.how do you judge whether a player is injury prone or not? And how can you take a player like that in a high round if you know they're injury prone?

Qb wise I think he is under the philosophy that you draft a qb every year until you get it right. Hack was a bad pick, possibly influenced by his familiarity with O'Brian. Petty I guess he thought might be able to transition to Gailey's scheme

>>
>>74534473
He should come back to the Raiders
>>
>>74534482
The Robinson thing was a fuck up, I have him going to the Colts and the Texans going with Ramcyzk.

Like with every mock draft, I'm assuming a few things will go a certain way. One, I'll bite on the love the 49ers and Lynch seem to be showing Kizer after his interview. Could be a smokescreen, but he has the measurables so I'll roll with it until I have better evidence they're just playing games.

I'm also assuming there will be a run on CBs and LBs and NOT QBs (if they're smart). The Saints pick is a coin flip but you're right in assuming Jones is probably the safest bet there. I have Humphrey going there simply because of his aggression and potential.

Williams has the "look" of a #1 reciever, ala Julio Jones, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Eagles pull an Al Davis and go with John Ross.

The Davis pick falls in line with my LB frenzy. The Redskins need an ILB desperately and he might not be there in the 2nd. A bit of a reach at 17 but I could see it happening.

Pats taking Njoku just seems like a good pick to me. He has great potential and would be an asset for Jimmy G in the future.

Am I missing something? Don't know a lot about the guy. Did he have a Greta college career? What's his injury history?

The biggest problem with Pryor is that his route running isn't great since he's a QB transfer. That being said, he's a tall, athletic freak and if you just want him to catch passes over the middle or along the sidelines, he'll probably be able to thrive.
He's not a true WR1, though.

So the Raiders reported that they have financing for LV

is it as good as done since the reports of Jerry Jones looking for backers from a couple days ago
>>
>>74528556
Because first of all the only wide receivers who could properly transition to cornerbacks would be 5'10 manlet slot receivers. Secondly, it would take them multiple NFL seasons to end up as a decent cornerback because they'd have to learn everything from scratch unless they played the position in college.

There are generally plenty of players at both positions that this is entirely needless except in the most extreme of circumstances.

I never said in 2010, I'm talking right now. Packers don't sniff the NFCCG without rodgers. Patriots win the owl without gronk.

>>74537573
He is but I not the second best player in the NFL. You can't count on him to stay healthy and there are higher impact players, especially quarterbacks. At this point I'd even take Malcolm Butler or hightower over Gronk because those guys are reliable and don't need Brady to produce.
>>
>>74537540

I should append this: Dan Marino is an incredibly nice person but he's an idiot savant. If he's not talking about football it takes about ten seconds to realize that he's as dumb as the wall.

Boomer Esaison, Tony Gonzalez, Bart Scott, and Bill Cowher are all great people. Shannon Sharpe is nice too, and EVERYONE makes fun of the way he talks. That predates it being a meme here.

What does this have to do with Gronk being better at his position than Earl Thomas? Gronk just bullies shit or injured defenses like the Steelers. When he faces truly elite players, he gets BTFO every time.

lmfao later in the game, Gronk dropped a pass cause he was scared Earl was going to hit him again.

But to be honest the failcunts were not DOMINATING for that long. Both teams were moving the ball really well for the first 1.5 quarters, and if it weren't for a one or two bad plays the game never would've gotten out of hand. Yeah, brady missed a few passes that he should've made, but i hardly call 2 plays "dominating"

This is photoshopped. There's no way 236 passing yards per game is less than the franchise average. Same with PPG or almost any other statistic in that picture. Unless they're talking about the Favre era in which case they forgot to mention the 3x more interceptions he had than Rodgers.

I really wouldn't be surprised if the Browns only take between like one to three notable guys in FA

Apparently they want Tyrod, Tony Jefferson, and Kevin Zeitler might come up north as well. Considering how deep of a defensive draft class this is, I don't think they'll pull a Jags and go 100% all out in FA since they have so many picks in the draft.

Fuck I hope we keep Pryor ;_;

This is probably my favorite mock that I've done yet.

I doubt Conley will be there but if he is, I'd take him over any of the edge rushers left on the board. Hodges late in the 2nd is an absolute steal. Willis could turn into a really solid player within a few short years and had himself a great combine.

Dupre is an interesting pick. He had a bit of a drop off last season in production, but went off in his bowl game. He has all the physical potential to become a great NFL receiver, but is no doubt a project pick. He could develop behind the vet guys in Nelson and Cobb.

The rest are guys who don't have super high ceilings (though I think Lee or Lawrence have the best chances), but are all already solid enough players who could really contribute on a team that seems to get hurt more than any other in the league.

I don't expect Green Bay to have anywhere near as balanced a draft as this, but I can dream. TT will probably just draft meme DEs and OTs all day.
>>
>>74539073
You're right. The (s) in ranks made all the difference.

Either way it doesn't matter because Rodgers finished the season like a god so he's likely going to be back to MVP levels in 2017 anyway.
