Basically. I mean Romo is fine if you want to sell tickets, jerseys and create some buzz. But as far as tangible accomplishments, the worst with Romo is he gets injured, and the best, he chokes before even getting to the NFCC.

That and he's only good for a max of 3 years if even that. This whole "Romo will turn any team he's traded to into an Owl threat" narrative is retarded and only perpetuated by Cowfag shills desperate to save his cap and get a draft pick or something.

There was a stretch in 2015 where both Edelman and Amendola were hurt, and they lost two games entirely because of the special teams (Eagles, regular season Broncos). If they'd won either of these, they would have had home field advantage in the playoffs, and would have beaten the Broncos at home, and gone to the Super Bowl.

Last year, Bill drafted Cyrus Jones to fix this problem. That went terribly.
I would love Cordarrelle to come to New England to return kicks, so that when the manlets go down, the entire team doesn't collapse.
>>
>>74544193
>I would love Cordarrelle to come to New England to return kicks, so that when the manlets go down, the entire team doesn't collapse.
He's obviously a great returner but is it worth it to sacrifice a roster for someone just to have a good returner if Edelman and Amedola both get hurt?

Especially considering he's only good when returning kicks, he still wouldn't solve the punt return issues.

>>74544226
Again, they already did that last year with Cyrus Jones. And it's more about getting them off kick returns so they can't get hurt doing those.

It's not a perfect solution, but I don't trust the draft for this problem after last year.
>>
https://youtu.be/yaBuv2_oGdo
>>
>>74544304
for the best honestly

this draft is deep at tight end, pats dont need one who is aging, injury prone, and won't be on his best behavior two years in a row.
>>
>>74544314
But Cyrus Jones wasn't drafted to be strictly a kick returner. He was also supposed to be great at returning punts as well a talented slot corner. That's more than enough to justify a roster spot.

Just kick returns, not so much

Our best Oline are Slauson, Pulley, Dunlap when healthy and hopefullyTuerk. Can Barksdale get back to 2016 status? If Cam Robinson is there in the 2nd round is he an automatic draft by the bolts? I worry about my waifu Rivers

Yeah, like how every single QB that isn't a fat sack of shit has all the "tools" to be better than Brady but we're all still waiting on that.

seriously, someone needs to investigate that training staff for malpractice or something. fucks me up that on paper the chargers are a borderline playoff team yet they're picking in the top 7.

it's a shame that there's no lane johnson/tyron smith tier OT in this draft, but an impact pick at #7 could be huge for the chargers. might as well try and get as much out of rivers as you can before he retires.

you mean LA?
If the chargers didnt treat their entire team and fanbase like shit I would go see a few games.
chargers fans are cute white socal people as opposed to hispanic felons.
honestly if it was in me I really would. I wish I could give up on the vikings. but I cant forgive what the chargers have done to weddle and rivers. fuck them. might be worse to have all the parts and not make a honest shot at the owl than never having a shot and still failing.

think about this though guys
>franchise QB's are rarer than albino endangered species now
>teams can go decades without a franchise QB
>teams can go decades without playoff appearances
>teams can get sold out right from under the fans noses and shipped off across the country
>5 years is an acceptable rebuilding period
>a GM can just gut and cripple your team longer than that with a few bad decisions and lenient owners

I've spent 2 decades already behind a team thats done nothing but let me down. there have been a few high points but mainly it's just a cycle of suffocating frustration.
we had the defense and now it's all wasted. we've had incredible offenses and it was all a paper tiger without a real QB.

only real fans can reply to this. if your team has an owl or has had a franchise QB, you normies can get out.

I'm just saying its a raw deal.
years and years of my life caring way too much about something I cant control and the worst part is, if I did control it it would at least my fault. the vikings at least would have made some moves and taken a few chances at making it.

for example
>all these teams playing disinterested in Romo and Cutler
knock it the fuck off. broncos you know you have another 2 year window of super bowl contention. pull the fucking trigger. the fucking jets just owe it to their fans to fucking try and land cutler after gutting the team and giving up for the past 5 years. texans you made a mistake but bite the bullet and maybe you could actually do something when you make the playoffs.

I'd rather sign Tyrod to a big short term deal and take a rookie at 12 or 33 than do that.

If the Vikings offer Peterson a contract at all, it needs to be $2M max with all incentives. Otherwise, this team has other priorities like extending Sam Bradford or dumping a pile of money into FA offensive lineman.

Resign Munnerlyn if you can, but they need as much money as possible for the OL. That means cutting Sharrif Floyd, that would save $7M right there alone.

throwing the ball on the 1 yard line was a meme though
especially when the best coach in the nfl knew exactly what was coming and had rehearsed the play multiple times in practice in the previous weeks

thats one of the huge problems i have with the nfl, the coaching is damn near atrocious
bill has such an obscene advantage over every other team because the rest of the league's coaching is just pitiful
>>
>>74553901
there's nothing wrong with running a pass play on the 1 yard line, they just made a pretty retarded call to have the play rely on being able to pick brandon browner. on top of that, malcolm butler made the perfect read on the ball.

pretending that the whole thing was some massive brainfart on the part of carroll diminishes how great of a play by the pats defense it was.
>>
>>74553940
im not sure i agree
throwing it on the 1 isnt a terrible decision
but football 202 dictates that any passes when boxed in on the goal line should be near the boundary thus limiting any chances for an interception
and running it towards one of the best bump/jam corners in the nfl was a fucking joke
>>
>>74553953

>>
>>74553985
didn't read thoroughly enough i guess i just skimmed it
and yea i did agree with the browner part
but i did expand on the fact that throwing plays when youre that boxed in should be directed to the boundary away from 10 extra defenders

but its just disappointing watching the other coaches in the nfl flounder with seemingly simple concepts while bill just has relatively mastered the game
>>
>>74554047
t's true that there's a lack of good coaching in the NFL lately, but carroll isn't an example of that. he's one of the few that actually improves his team via his decisions or influence, most of the time at least.

if you want a better example of a team being held back by their coach, look at the steelers. theoretically they should be able to challenge the pats, but tomlin is just light-years away from BB.

>>
>>74554147
thats because the nfc north is literally worse than the afc east but people don't want to give the pats credit.
>>
>>74554108
He stays put
>>
>>74554171
>Romo
>lasting long enough to go to the Owl against the AFCW pass rush alone

Nope.
>>
>>74554089
>>74554101
>>74554103
yea the coaching is so sub par it just makes the game less fun to watch
bill is far beyond what all other coaches are doing

im not saying caroll is a bad coach he is one of the better ones, but even the good coaches are still not even close to bill

>>74554147
supposedly mccarthy is one of the best coaches in the NFL and he comes off as a bumbling idiot relative to bill
it is mind boggling how capers still has a job though
especially when wade phillips has been on the market like 5 times since capers got hired

>>
>>74554208
from what I've head one first rounder isn't enough for Jimmy G.
>>
>>74554171
not with that O-line

I'll be surprised if he makes past week 8
>>
>>74554184
i remember going through the wins/losses for both entire divisions since like 2010 and they are basically even
if you go back to like 2008 when rodgers took over full time the nfc north has been worse, but that does include the 0-16 lions which is a statistical outlier
but the nfc north has had more ups and downs between each team where the entire afc east has been pretty consistently mediocre
the packers have had more competition from 1 team each year that falls off in the following seasons than the pats
>>
>>74540925
>49ers interested in Savage if HOU lands Romo?
I'd rather See savage become starter, t.b.h. oh, wait, I just have to wait about three weeks into the season.
>>
>>74554227
I could see New England being talked down from a 2018 1st round pick
>>
>>74554243
>tfw the last time the bears won the NFC north the packers beat them TWICE on the road to the Owl
fucking poetry
>>
>>74554227
imo that's just to drum up the price though.

if cleveland comes calling with the 12th overall, it's gonna be hard to say no
>>
2013 R Wilson (16 gms):3,896 Total yards 26 TDs 9 INT
Tebow (14 gms) in Den: 3,270 Total yards 29 TDs 9 INT

So why was Tebow blackballed by the NFL?
>>
>>74554270
unless Bellichick thinks sticking it out with a 40 year old quarterback might be a mistake and actually wants to keep Jimmy H.
>>
>>74554270
>>74554251
>>74554208
pls dont cleveland
i want to see you guys do well
the more picks you have in this draft the better because this draft is fucking loaded at talent
see if you can get the 5th pick out of jax and grab trubisky and develop him with hue or something
garoppolo is imo more of an unknown quantity
>>
>>74554287
he couldn't throw the football and wouldn't step down from being a QB
>>
>>74554292
They really like Jacoby though.

>>74554311
this. also he attracted a media circus
>>
>>74554287
Wasn't that his only good year?
>>
>>74554287
those aren't tim tebow's stats lol
>>74554292
belichick isn't sticking it out for even 5 more years tho. if he wants to maximize what he can do with brady, it's not a bad idea to mortgage the future. for the franchise yes, but not for the immediate.
>>
>>74554338
It was his only year period.
>>
>>74554287
idk whos stats those are but teboq never even eclipsed 2000 yds
>>
>>74554310
>see if you can get the 5th pick out of jax and grab trubisky and develop him with hue or something
>browns developing a quarterback ever

"no"

if the browns somehow got garoppolo with the 12th pick it would be a bargain.
>>
>>74554339
has he broken Shula's all-time wins record yet?
>>
>>74554378
but hue is breddy good with qbs
he made dalton look like an mvp candidate
and trubisky is extremely accurate with the football and i think has a high ceilieng
his arm strength is great too, i think a lot of people are hyping trubisky without really knowing why though which garners a lot of pushback from a lot of other people
>>
>>74554292
>>74554270
Belichick is the rare kind of coach that would trade a QB like Brady early if it was better for the team in the long term. I think the only thing stopping him is how much he truly thinks of Garoppolo.
>>
>>74554378
twe are taking about a QB who has started in 2 games. the fact that so many people think he's worth a gorillion first round picks is mind boggling
>>

>>
>>74554433
nice triple dubs
>>
>>74554392
he's like 90 wins away, so i doubt he will. his W-L is so much better though, it's ridiculous.
>>74554424
i agree, but you have to look at his age. he doesn't want to be doing this forever, and the same is true of brady. if trading jimmy G can help to make his and brady's last years in NE even better, why not do it?
>>
>>74554392
Shula has 328 while Belichick has 237 and is #4 atm (Halas 318 and Landry 250)

Bill will have to settle for most Superbowl wins as a Coach for now
>>
>>74554424
this
im kind of getting the feeling they are asking a lot to artificially inflate his value because im not sure they believe in him that much
idk i just get the feeling they are acting like they dont want to trade unless they can get huge value but will gladly take the 12th, and maybe theyre hoping maybe the bears or 9ers part with the 2 or 3 in a package deal
the pats would swap the 32 and garop for the 2 or 3 in a heartbeat
>>
Browns will take Garrett and a QB in the 1st.

Bet on it.
>>
>>74554466
they'd be making a mistake if they didn't take trubisky, a top flight corner or trade it for garop though
garop being the worst of those 3 options
>>
>>74554452
he'll get to #3 anyway in two years if not one, but 318 is out off reach I think. 3rd all-time ain't bad, though.
>>
>>74554452

>>
>>74554588
I've heard the comparison.

I watched a good breakdown of him since that comment and I see his upside. He needs a lot of work against the run.

His surgery just worries me.
>>
>>74554433
I don't know, I really think Jimmy G is a franchise quarterback. To me it was obvious Cassel, Hoyer, and Mallett were shitty but Jimmy has so much to like. His release is great and he has poise and sound decision making. He was always a high upside prospect, he just wasn't the type meant to start right away.

It's a perfectly valid argument to say his really small sample size makes him a crap shoot, but I think the vast majority of draft qbs are crap shoots too.
>>
>>74554621
to be honest you probly thought ryan fitzpatrick and geno smith were franchise QBs too
>>
>>74554607
What exactly is his injury isn't it a hernia or something?

Those usually aren't too serious and he was able to play through it the last few games of the season and it didn't look like it really affected his play too much
>>
>>74554654
Torn labrum and hernia.
>>
>>74554643
if Jimmy G is a bust I'll eat my words but I'm not afraid to have an opinion like you bitches.
>>
>>74554665
Didn't know about the labrum

Isn't he supposed to be fully recovered by the time training camp starts? That isn't exactly a minor injury but I'd take a injured labrum over an injured knee or ankle
>>
>>74554746
Yeah, 6-8 months.

Still, surgeries always put me off about a player -- largely due to the Chargers and their synonymous nature with injuries.
>>
>>74554621
Also Garoppolo's first two starts blows each of those quarterback's first two starts out of the water. Garoppolo was also a the highest round pick of all of them. There's something about him that screams "franchise quarterback" that none of the others had. Maybe that's why Bill is so hesitant to trade him.
>>
>>74553479
Too bad your QB is randomly trash.
>>
>>74554771
I feel you on that. Still I'd say Hooker could be a great pick for the Chargers I'd go with him, Jamaal Adams, or best pass rusher available if I were them
>>
>>74540925
So a CBS sports article just claimed the 49ers will end up with Captain Kirk more likely than not. What does the trade look like? Will the niners still get a first round pick somehow this year? I really fell for John Ross after that 40 time. I think he could be a special player seeing as he's also a good route runner... If you guys were building from scratch like my nanners what would you do?

what's wrong with desean jackson? he's decent. bucs have a lot of capspace and any decent receiver should be welcome to take some pressure off mike evans.

mike evans (and maybe brate) was the only passing threat last year, now imagine if there was someone else to divert some attention off mike. he'll be even more of a stud.

What did he mean by this?
>>
>>74554621
He's not worth giving the Patriots what they want for him, though.

Anything more than a mid to late second rounder is too much when he's going to be a free agent next season.

You're already going to have to pay him the market rate for a contract extension.
>>
>Oklahoma's Joe Mixon not lacking for suitors. Lions, Saints, Bengals and Browns all met w/ him privately tonight before tomorrow's Pro Day.

>>
>>74545000
am I the only one who thinks this is a legitimate proposal? the pats are asking wayyyyyy too much and everyone is wary of falling for the next cassel, mallet, hoyer ruse. even if they just traded selections for rounds 1 and 2 the browns still have #12 in the 1st also.

but thats a win win for both of them. browns get a QB thats probably better than what they can get in this class.
pats just turned jimmy the wop into myles garrett.

Im glad the pats Jewish tendencies and need to screw everyone over instead of making fair trades will prevent this.

Romo and Whitworth are the only signings that will matter.

Also MileHigh is the most cancerous homer site ever. I'm tired of hearing about 3rd string players that are apparently perennial Pro Bowlers. No, Kayvon Webster is not elite, it doesn't matter how good he is on special teams, he isn't a good player.

Taureon Nixon is not a good player either. Bradly Robey was shit this year despite how many articles you publish that insist he wasn't. Fuck this website.

I don't know. They made the playoffs with Cary fucking Williams. It could only have gotten easier.

Unless they are involved with each other.

Yeah, the website sucks ass. Who gives a fuck if shitty ass 5th stringers don't get signed. If they get cut, they weren't good enough to be on the team.
