Why hasnt sabre metrics caught on to god tier shifts?

Sure you will likely see an increase in infield singles, but the overall chances of scoring are drastically reduced. This formation eliminates slugging and second is no longer scoring position. The only way the offense can score is by hitting four consecutive singles. Unless youre playing a team full of ichiros the chances of this are miniscule. Fly ball rates and line drives are at an all time high. Exut velocity on hard hit balls is only goimg up to the point where fielders can be effective at playing grounders in the shallow out field.

You're unable to spot despite having greater velocity and greater movement. The tradeoff is not worth it.
