Chris Ballard was the 49ers first, second and third choice for GM when they were starting this process. He declined to even interview for the position.

So he's looking like a smart GM to me.

I'll say this about John Lynch.

He seems like a good guy, seems smart. But he's never had a front office position. He's never scouted, he's never done anything to prepare him to be a General Manager.

Now, I want him to succeed because I'm a 49ers fan and he seems like a good guy. But there's no reason to expect success here.

The way to read this, Jed York gave the job to the guy who would take it.

He literally called Jed up, volunteered and got the job.

This can work out but don't count on it. Even if it does end up turning the team around, the process that got us here is totally fucked up.

Alright lads so here's the quick and dirty on Colin Kapernick (aka Kraperdick, aka Kapernig, aka Nigger McNigger III)

Colon Powell was born in Milwaukee in 1987 to a destitute white meth addict. His birth father is black, which makes Kolin a mulatto by birth. He was raised by (white) foster parents in a posh suburban neighborhood and lived a life of privilege up to and including his time in college. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ths in the 2001 AFL draft, ahead of future Hall of Fame Quarterback Tim Bradley.

In San Fagcisco Kollonerick played backup to QB Alex Smeth, a future checkdown hall of famer who was primarily a pocket passer. Collel was used on different occasions in the wildcat formation and various trick plays. In 2012 Smeth was grievously injured and Holodeck replaced him as the starting QB. He went on to lead the 49th Parallels to a Superbowl appearance, where Russian saboteurs funded by George Soros successfully knocked out power in the stadium, allowing the Balitmurder Chimpanzees to activate their jungle senses. Despite having Randy Moose, the greatest wide receiver since Władziu Valentino Liberace, San Franshitto lost to the more autistic Harbaugh brother and his team of highly trained gorillas.

After this, Koala faded into obscurity for several years, chewing up a large portion of his team's salary cap while playing like hot excrement on an asphalt driveway. After the 2014 debacle, head coach Jimmy Harbald quit the team, ostensibly because he was tired of paying 13 million a year for a quarterback who could only complete passes to the other team.

In his continued attempts to be recognized by the black father who left him, Collin's body is covered in tattoos which allude to his love of negro culture, including quotes from Topac Shaker and Jesus Christ. Ironically, the tattoos are only visible because of his exceedingly light skin pigments.

In 2014, Colonoscopy Wing-Kap met Nessa, a transexual man who hosts a radio show about white privilege. The couple began formally dating in 2015. Around this time, a series of protests started concerning the rights of colored folk to disobey the law and assault police officers.

While initially uninterested in the squabbles of welfare-hustlers, Collum Kopernicus soon fell under the spell of his new boyfriend Eliot Ness. Zhe taught him about the various injustices that Basketball americans had suffered under evil white men like Woodrow Wilson and James Buchanan. The NFL quarterback was astonished to learn that blacks had been slaves to white people. He soon began to retweet popular stories about the reality of race in the United States, encouraging his entourage of social media followers to 'stay woke', an Ebonic phrase that is untranslatable.

At the end of the 2015 NFL season, Kapperdice lost his starting spot to Blaine Gabbert, a former gym leader on Cinnabar Island. In his spare time, Coonlin began to study the works of Martin Lutheran and other figures in the history of dinduology.

In early 2016, the BLM (Black Lies Matter) movement had taken off. Informed that he would not be starting another game in the state of California, Kap-in-the-Hat decided to use his status as a 100 million dollar benchwarmer in the NFL to push the social justice agenda of his life partner, who around this time had dyed zer hair purple, the color of Kangs n shieet. Zhe also publicly professed her Muslim faith.

In the last preseason game of 2016, Co'lin bin Qaddafi failed to stand for the Nation Anthem, drawing criticism for his protest. It is now believed that years of listening to K-Pop and Tailor Swift has left him hearing impaired, which may explain the lapse. Nevertheless, al Kadaffi explained after the game that he wanted to speak out on police stopping people who break the law. His protest set off a wave of copycats, which has devastated the NFL's ratings. And here we are.

Talent is one thing, but there was no fucking hustle by any of them, and that's down to coaching.

You're already down two scores. You see a quarterback who isn't known for being mobile running for the endzone. It is your job, as a defender, to BUST YOUR ASS tackling him. Maybe you'll get a penalty. Whatever. But stop him from getting a fucking touchdown and putting you down THREE scores. That is what you are paid to do.

If they don't have that kind of fight and fire, then that's on McCarthy.

Nah man Aldon was huge too almost set a sack record and won loads of his downs against teams usually best linemen.
>>73957722
Delanie Walker senpai, dude was a fun player to watch in red and gold
>>
>>73957971
Aldon sucked without Justin.

Justin Smith was the pass rush. The entire defense went to shit the moment he retired.

I'm also convinced that Tomsula only looked like a good D-line coach because he got to work with Justin.
>>
>>73957845
Is Trubisky really worth a 2nd overall though? I don't see any college QB coming off and just making the team better. Also Bowman just got an extension even if he is a broken player I doubt they'll drop or trade him
>>
>>73957911
>t
Haha fuck the Ocean Poultry!
>>
>>73957992
he's worth it to us I think we need an accurate QB who can go through progressions and isn't just a meme. The Browns could take him, but being the Browns I bet they won't even though it is his dream to play for the Browns (lel).
>>
>>73957984
He looked better because of Justin for sure but he did not suck man. He needed a guy to eat up blocks on the inside so he could always get 1 on 1s, which he could consistently win. So for sure A smith relied on J Smith a lot but to say he didn't heavily contribute isn't accurate
>>
>>73957992
>>73958013
I wouldn't take Tribusky at 2.

Trade back and get more picks and take him somewhere in the 5-10 range.
>>
What are some good Safety prospects?
>>
>>73958021
He did his job but none of the pass rush worked whenever Justin Smith wasn't out there or wasn't 100%.

That includes Aldon.
>>

Jamal Adams, Maleek Hooker, Jabril Peppers.
>>
>>73958026
jamal adams and malik hooker are the two best safeties in the draft.

adams is great all around, his comparison is like an eric berry type player. he'll probably go top 10 based on how complete of a player he is. hooker is a ballhawk, supposedly the next ed reed. he might go early based on his "big play" ability.

there are a lot of safety-needy teams in the top 10, so i wouldn't be surprised if they were both gone by that pick.

>>73958030
Don't forget J. S. would get away with those little defensive holds so Aldon could get easy match ups... Slightly dirty tricks helped him be so much better so yeah ya could be right
>>
>>73958045
Is there a bigger fraud than Tom Brady in all of professional sports history? I'm leaning towards no.
>>
>>73958044
Hey, Tom "The Boston Bomber" Brady is one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.

People would give an arm and a leg to see him play.

He is a known cheater though.
>>
I kinda want Brady to win now, sorry Falconbros, but im kinda in that Trump-Clinton situation where Trump winning probably won't be the best for me personally (though trump is doing exactly what he said he'd do so that's really good), but the memes and asshurt would be totally worth it. And im curious what excuses people on /sp/ would make up to discredit Brady this time when he has 5 rings. Anybody else feel like this somewhat? Is Brady the trump of football?

End season spaghetti and overall terrible luck. Even when were good nobody takes up seriously. That huge winning streak we went on this season we were picked against basically every game. And Stafford fucking up his hand truly was when the season was dead. Plus playcalling is terrible half of the time. I love Cooter but sometimes his master plan is confusing. Atleast we have title if most 4th comebacks in a season. Looking from the outside I bet you that teams that didn't play us and had nothing to do with us enjoyed us somehow memeing those wins here. We ended the Eagles and Wentz meme and the Vikings meme.

Rodgers got the credit when they won because it was on him, he was playing at his highest level since 2011 and winning despite the team around him being shit, the defense was still giving up 30+ points a game. He isn't being blamed for the loss because it's not his fault that the defense gives up 44 points or his receivers are incapable of even catching a screen pass. The only times Rodgers could actually get anything done in a drive was when he used his legs and did it himself.

offense wins despite defense giving up 30+ points: credit goes to the person on that offense carrying the team
offense loses because defense gives up 40+: not the offense's fault

desu they had a chance to win two SBs. The real fuck ups were the Harvin trade and the Drew Nowak experiment. They're in a place to compete for the future but they need to develop the next Kam, Bennett, Avril, Clemons etc. Most people on big contracts have performed. Their problem is drafting offensive lineman. Moffit, Carpenter, Bailey didn't pan out. If any of them did, the Seahawks could be in the SB. The people talking all this gloom and doom about the team are fucking crazy. You can't go to the SB every year unless you're the Patriots.

Is it that hard to imagine she's in an inter-fandom relationship? It's 2017, Seahawks fans can date falcons fans if they want

Lol but they already paid cam after he held out and they payed Richard Sherman, who don't get me wrong is a good corner, but not lock down. He's not the engine of that D as much as he wants people to believe. As a niner fan I watched that D in their prime too often and that front 7 was pure filth and when they lost like half of them to free agency that's when you saw them start to slip. It's waaaaay harder to replace mean front 7 than it is to replace a physical cover 3 corner. Those guys are like a dime a dozen and Thomas makes them all look like gods with that perfect over coverage.

Kam hasn't had a new deal since his previous one. Sherman isn't that easy to replace either. If it were, they'd have plugged in that person at the No. 2 corner position. But as we've seen from the past few years, that doesn't work. They have lost a lost a lot of depth on the d-line to free agency. Capable Runningbacks

seahawks dont have that

The two major flaws of the eagles, cornerback and running back can be solved with the draft and free agency, This draft is deep in both positions that the eagles need.
Quality starting Cornerbacks and Runningbacks that can be found in the 3rd round and be in the running for ROTY honors

The eagles also possess many high pedigree WRs that can develop, who still have to build rapport with their quarterback in the first place

It doesn't take a genius to see that the Eagles are building something scary
meanwhile, The Cowboys have negative 2 million in cap space and are going to lose at least 5 starters this offseason alone L M A O ing rn

Hawks have a shit offensive line, whole team can be fixed with two competent linemen

Cardinals have an aging Palmer and also a shit offensive line, seems like they bought into their own hype when Palmer hadn't recovered from the NFC champ game

Rams had the worst coach in football, a shit offensive line, a rookie QB that seems like he'll be a bust, and a Todd Gurley that couldn't find holes in a line that bad

49ers had Chip Kelly, Kap who should be a backup QB, and a shit defense
pretty much comes down to bad offensive lines across the board really

I've made my peace with it.
the problem is this jew cancer as GM. crippled the team for almost 10 years but he knows how to draft defense so he gets a pass. even though he's made nothing but terrible deals and the whole bradford thing happened because he didn't foresee having a backup QB and put all his eggs in one basket. terrible GM when it comes to offense. and sometimes defense really.

but bradford was good for what he is. service QB that's gonna be middle of the pack in QB stats for a year or so. something to build a team around. good completion percentage? fuck that stat. but not worth a 1st but again thats the kikes fault.
>>
>>73964061

>>
>>73964038

The late round picks are really good.

The Eagles should probably try to draft a franchise WR or TE in the first though. Ross wont cut it.

Also I do not think Wilson will go that high, you could probably get him in the second in the actual draft.
>>
>>73964078
yeah i was excited about mcdermott and taylor, and the shitty big board they give you all have wilson in the top 20. i've been advocating an early WR for most of this draft process because of how deep the corner and RB classes are; you can find guys like sutton and mixon/perine in the 3rd rounds, but you can only really get a guy like davis or williams in the first.

my ideal first 4 rounds would be davis/williams in the first, foreman/kamara/mccaffrey in the second, and two corners in the 3rd and fourth with some kind of trench guy. wentz needs weapons

There's other good WR's late too. Westerkamp from Nebraska and Hansen from Cal are both really good receivers that are being overlooked because they're white.

This would be a really good time to bring in weapons for Wentz and TE is stacked too. The receiving class is much deeper than most people think.

>>
>>73964177
yeah guys like dede westbrook and cooper kupp are intriguing, as well as that michigan guy and my boy chris GODwin

TE is underrated as fuck this class imo; you have howard, engram, butt, njoku, hodges, and leggett who are all top 100 guys. we signed two TEs to contracts recently but considering how important they are to our offense i wouldn't mind another, especially if someone like njoku falls a little.

Also Njoku, Butt, engram can all be lined up as a wideout and played that way.

And 3 TE's is fine.

I'd takeWilliams or Davis #1 and just build the rest of it up. Worry about D and O-line when the draft has those players again. I'd pick at least 3 players that catch footballs if I was them.

>>
>>73964302
The team, not just Julio. When you have as many great receivers as Atlanta is hard to say Julio alone had a better performance than Dez, the guy who was leading the league in dropped passes, not not drop a single pass in the playoffs and was THE receiver getting all the major yards and the #1 target on tough catches and under much more pressure.

Julio is obviously the better receiver but I would say Dez's one playoff game after the year he had was very impressive.
