Ever notice how 10-20 years back we always trained our players the hardest? We had a go-get'em attitude, a form of fearlessness to our philosophy. MLS players in the national team were itching to be the best they can be and to prove they are good enough to play against the stronger national teams. That's how we ended up with a talented squad that could punch above its weight. MLS back then was truly the essence of the American spirit.

Nowadays it's a pathetic cesspool of liberal mediocrity. Sure it has grown but along with its growth, the cancer known as liberalism seeped in. First it began with the cringey as fuck ultras like FIGHT AND WIN but then it evolved to politically leftist garbage (see Portland and Seattle fanbases) where it's all about being so edgy and kewl and progressive.

With that change in demographics came the change in philosophy. Soon MLS fanbases deluded themselves into thinking that MLS is already a good enough league that doesn't need to improve as much as everyone with knowledge of the fucking sport says it does. This mindset is even seen with the so called professional analysts of the league where it was apparent as fuck during Klinsmann's tenure.
