New World countries (Australia included) are completely different to the Old. They generally have far stronger civic nationalism and generally speaking migrants assimilate far faster in said countries.

>As it stands, money generated by the Southern Stars and the Women's Big Bash League, such as through broadcasting rights, sponsorship, digital media and ticket sales, is not included in the revenue used to pay the men.
Kek, thats because it literally runs at a loss

>The women's payment pool jumped from $2.36 million to $4.23 million when announced in April. The base rate for an international cricketer also competing in the WBBL is $80,000, while match and tours fees ensure a six-figure salary.

>>
>>71692388
'no'
YOU said that Gillespie was better than McGrath. This is false. Shaun fucking Tait has bowled better than McGrath at times. Mitchell Johnson bowled better than McGrath at times. They are NOT better bowlers than McGrath.
YOU said that McGrath's greatness came from his longevity and consistency. This is false. McGrath's greatness came from his accuracy and his "just enoughs". Almost every ball McGrath bowled was inarguably great. He may have lacked the pace and outright movement of the others, but that didn't stop them from being perfectly placed time after time. The fact that he did it for as long as he did is just icing on the cake. If he did it for two series, people would have still remembered him as a great.

YOU have also said that present Starc is better than McGrath at his best, which is such a laughable ""opinion"" that I won't even bother giving it a reply.

I was insecure from being bullied. I was insecure of my height. I was insecure because I felt like my dancing wasn’t progressing. I was also not out as a gay person. All of that fear and insecurity felt too much for me, and I pushed myself to go to college and study Public Relations at Montclair State University. I was running in the other direction because I was running from those fears. I just couldn’t come to grips with being a short performer. I couldn’t come to grips with auditioning and not getting parts because of my height. You see it in audition classifieds: “Looking for someone 5’ 7” and taller.” I could only go to 20% of all the auditions. I was just going to run away because it was too scary for me to come out. It was too scary for me to come to grips with. So I ran away from dance and performing. I went to a 4-year school and got my undergrad. Trying to convince myself that I was going to do PR, be straight, and be someone that I wasn’t because of fear was the hardest time for me. Those 4-5 years were the toughest in my life.

When I graduated, I auditioned for a dance concert show. It was a tour in Spain. I booked it a week after graduation. I also got a PR internship that paid at the same time. I had to decide between the two. I had run away from this fear of being a dancer 5 years ago. I thought maybe I could be myself if I did a show in Spain, away from my parents, away from my family, away from the small town and everyone that knew me. I wanted to go as far away as possible and be who I am among strangers and get back into dance. And I did. When I came back from the tour, I auditioned and booked multiple things and created a nice resume. I still wasn’t out at that point, but I slowly felt better about my career. I didn’t come out to my parents until I was 25. That’s quarter of your life living with that kind of fear and insecurity. It really took a toll

With that said, I just want to make an impact on kids. I think for someone like me, who had a lot of fears, I had many teachers but there were one or two that I still talk to today and consider my family. Teachers that taught me to stand up for myself. Teachers that taught me to accept myself. Teachers that taught me dance and life lessons. Teachers that helped me smile and laugh. Those teachers made an impact on me, and you never forget someone that makes that kind of impact. When you get older, you lose some memories. I remember when I won a national title, and I thought that was great—the trophy is bigger than you, you get to tour with the convention, and you pat yourself on the back. You blossom as a dancer and as an artist, but I don’t remember every bit of that. I don’t remember what gold medal or what ribbon I got at X competition so many years ago. Nobody remembers those things as you get older. It’s not all about winning. I just remember my teachers making an impact on me and making me feel better and teaching me something. I started REVEL Dance Convention because I love to make an impact not just on students I have locally at my studios but impact other kids around the country.

Been working at this one site for quite a few weeks now lads. This young bloke wanted his entire back garden done up with gyprock, and it was quite an inspired design too. Apparently he drew it up himself, and that really impressed me. This looked like the work of a professional you see.

Anyway, I finished up today and used the commission to buy that Foxtel box so I could watch some of the cricket. Imagine my surprise when I saw the bloke himself on screen and bowling spin for Australia!

Mitch marsh will literally be twice the disappointment in all formats of cricket than zhane wadson in test cricket

>This triggers gatecunt
Mitch marsh's batting is pathetic, and had been pathetic ever since his debut. He is one dimensional slogger that can either swing hard or block. The only thing he could select himself is would he as a bowling allrounder, but given his relatively poor bowling performance these two games it is clear that Faulkner has him beat in that area.

Mate, Smith's bowling is god awful. That meme has been tried on and off since 2013 and half his deliveries are half trackers that get pulled to cow corner. KEK you have NO idea how stats work

Id pick Brohit over Poojar erry day of the week. It seems GODli agrees with me
>>
>>71708380
>muh strike rate

kholi is shit
soshit is shit
puraja and rahane are elite
>>
>>71708382
Brohit has a career s/r of 52, Poojar 48. The difference is negligible

The main difference is that Rohit is a much more complete batsman. He can perform in a variety of different roles and play to different situations as required. Poojar is pretty one dimensional.

brohit, GODli and rahane are all elite
Shitcar needs to be lobotomised

note: I am NOT saying Pujara is bad, I do rate him. But if you're playing 5 batsmen, he'd be the one I'd leave out.
>>

except Kholi LITERALLY cited Pujara's strike rate as what prevents his selection
>He can perform in a variety of different roles and play to different situations as required
kek, and he's only ever done that three times against three mediocre sides in subcontinental conditions after twenty (20) test games
kys
there is NOTHING elite about this mess of a player.
>>
>>71708418
I don't know what Kohli said and I don't really care.

But what is true is that Rohit has a far greater capacity to dominate and accelerate than Pujara does. (Note: Rahane also has this capability).

When you're playing a team like the West Indies, its pretty unacceptable for a player to be striking at the rate Pujara was. Any good player can always BTFO a shit bowling lineup. Pujara was unable to dominate like Kohli wanted him to.

>and he's only ever done that three times against three mediocre sides in subcontinental conditions after twenty (20) test games
and the significance of this is what exactly? He has had the PJ Hughes treatment his entire career up until now. That is why Kohli is so based.

You've literally already been proven wrong once about Rohit. Give up

why arent these countries better at cricket?
>>
>>71709827
ask your ethnic malay friend
>>
>>71709827
also the malaysian indian migration happened before they went cricket crazy
myanmar and mauritius are probably the same, I can't imagine anyone willingly moving to myanmar in the last couple of decades.
>>
>>71709827
I have genuinely wondered about Myanmar, being a former British colony and being right next to all the curry countries.
>>
>>71709884
I don't know much about it Tbh, but from what I understand the english made no effort to get the subcontinent into cricket. The indians copied the english that they saw playing it and then it exploded post-partition since it was how India and Pakistan ""fought"" each other.
It wasn't that big in Bangladesh or Sri Lanka until they had success at an international level.

The rest of the subcontinent didn't really have that spark until recently in the case of Nepal and Afghanistan, while Bhutan is only beginning to get into it now.
>>

>>
>>71709960
as opposed to the UAE where they are sheikhs and princes?
>>
>>71709916
I believe you are right

But from what I also understand one of the main reasons cricket has picked up so much in Nepal is because of the heavy Indian influence (ie Bollywood) there. Is there that same time of Indian influence in Burma?
>>
>>71710041
same thing is happening in bhutan I think, once they got TV they got to see shit like the IPL and started playing our sport.

winning against a full member side is a big thing for them
pretty sure the west indies had to mankad to beat zimbo too
