Premier League looks like drowning in money, but its clubs are doing the worst deals possible, like buying LUKAKU £75m. It would have been unbelievable 5 years ago.
Now you must take apart its big clubs, which are brands themselves, and sell fuckload of shirts (Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool), high value clubs (Tottenham, Man City, Leicester) and minors which are barely known (every other club)
Big clubs will likely survive no matter what, high value clubs are fragile and must not overspend, and minor clubs can get relegated quickly and get broke
Now they get money from TV deals. It is known that less and less people watch TV in rich countries, everybody stream.
Add to this the Brexit, and uncertainty for players about their wages. What if tomorrow major players quit Arsenal (Ozil, Sanchez, etc.) because they can get more money in EU?

The talent pool isn't the issue. The problem with Tampa and Miami at least is all the Cubans. We prefer the Yankees. In Oakland, it's the fact that all the black people don't watch baseball. Same issue with the White Sox and with Cleveland. Minnesota prefers hockey, Arizona is Mexicans who would rather watch soccer. There's a non-talent related reason for pretty much all of the bottom ten teams.

And that average attendance is fine anyway, 2nd in the US and 6th in the world.
