i need a list

Water expands both when it cools and warms.
>>9055939
That's really fucking cool
>>9055939
water doesnt expand when it cools, once it reaches a certain temperature it expands relative to before and a solid forms.
>>9055955
So it expands when it freezes? Interesting.
Superconductivity is pretty cool.
>>9054574
Hot water can freeze faster than cold water.
>>9056061
yes, from 4 to 0 degrees Celsius, apparently
>>9054574
diamagnetic metals (like copper, aluminium or gold) though not attracted by magnets, get "stuck"(harder to move) in strong magnetic fields due to inducted currents
>>9056089
What do you mean stuck ? Care to give me a scenario as an example ?

Superfluid Helium has some interesting properties.

It's been a while since I've taken pchem so forvige the shotty explanation. Helium is essentially a perfect ideal gas. There is virtually no interaction between helium atoms with one another so when it's cooled down to a few degrees above absolute it allows quantum mechanical interactions rather than macro or atomic interaction to be shown.
