Pro tip to those studying STEM: either get gud in programming or network like a chad. Otherwise you will end up like me with no future.

>network like a chad
I read that as "don't be a total blathering autist".

You'd be surprised to learn that ass kissing is a skill by itself

Just work as a TA in your fucking university.
Or just keep applying for NASA or something

Most universities only use grad students for TAs. OP should've gone for something more useful than star science if he wasn't planning to do a graduate degree.
Honestly OP, go back and do a MScEng or something, it'd pay it self off... Astrophysics is an all or nothing specialty, even with networking. It requires almost an artful perspective of serious mathematical capability, and you have to be fucking GOAT at it or you get Challenger explosion 2.0. Its not that you wasted any time or effort, I just imagine you had unrealistic expectations of what was required to get work with one of the most esoteric degrees in the US
t. EE undergrad who plans on sneaking into a physics PhD. program to do tokamak reactor shit, and if it doesn't work out, fall back on EE cause my uncle works at a local firm
