>>8500246
>anthropogenic climate change exists
yes, Alex, it does.
Wolf girl is cool.
>>8500246
It is not entirely true.
We effect the climate on a small scale, yes, however we are not the single nor predominant cause of change in our climate, that would be the sun, the seas and the earths geothermal activities.
Also, carbon taxes would impoverish the masses.

Global-scale atmospheric modeling has existed for well over 20 years. I don't think scale means what you think it means.

Fairly inadmissible and inconsequential to the greater effects of lunar theory and the milankovitch cycle. imho. maybe.

You could literally just replace conservative with progressive and change the names of the institutes and have the exact same macro..
The fact the people think climate change is real is a stupid, hopeless thing to watch. In fact, climate change is good for us as it gives a nicer weather.
In addition, the world is actually getting colder, not warmer.

Why is no one looking at the actual science? Because this is an empirical question.

Trump goin to defund Global warming research
.Those "Scientist" with ms paint graph will out of job lol

Because we were going in (what at least appeared superficially to be) the right direction under Obama
On the other hand, Trump claims that global warming is a conspiracy perpetrated by the chinese to keep the US manufacturing non-competitive

>>8503992
come on kid you can't have it both ways - either it's getting hotter and that's great or it's getting colder.
>>8504026
or, back in reality, it's getting hotter and that's a problem for most areas.
>>8503992
>In fact, climate change is good for us as it gives a nicer weather.
It doesn't.
Every prediction I've seen has been for a decline in crop production. And if you do live in one of the places where the weather will get better, you're going to have to deal with migrants and refugees from the places where it's getting worse.
>In addition, the world is actually getting colder, not warmer.
It's not.
It's really, really, really not.
And unless you try very hard to pick a dataset that underestimates trends and cherrypick the endpoints, there's plenty of data to show that.

Summarize.
>>8504134
Global temperature is going up and its main cause is human-induced increases in radiative forcing. Earlier model predictions came true and predictions about the future are not encouraging.
>>8504142

How much is from CO2?

The closest thing I could even remotely see resembling global cooling is the addition of extra polar water into the Atlantic, like what we assumed happened during the Younger Dryas
>>8504098
I'm not a climate change denier but increasing CO2 causes increased crop yields.
>>8504445
That depends on how much you increase CO2. There's an optimal level for many plants.
Aside from that, CO2 is not the rate-limiting factor for growth of many crop.
>>8503992
The procession of prevailing climate regimes is an immediate problem. Whether or not we're left with more arable land in the end, millions of farmers and the communities they feed have been displaced. It's foolish to assume the economic implications will be limited to the developing world.

At least our CO2 prevented the continuation of the Little Ice Age. But you're right, it may not be enough to avert the predicted Dalton 2.0 because of the diminishing returns effect (logarithmic response to increase in CO2).
