So I devised a plan.

By the end of August, /s4s/ was a huge part of my life, perhaps too huge. It became important to me. I started to care about the direction the board was taking and its wellbeing. On a less altruistic note, I became to care about my impact on the board. I wanted to be super famous on /s4s/. The rush I'd gotten when you cheered for Gamefig and Urist McDwarf was intoxicating. I wanted to have the biggest influence anyone had ever had on the board. I'd already done a lot; people will probably still post old issues of the Dispatch and play the /s4s/ game in a few months. What I had never done was make a viral meme.

It didn't seem difficult; it would just take a lot of time. The last really big, universally-recognized meme the board had seen was froge, nearly two months before. For that, scrubmaster had just spammed it until it became a meme. I knew I could do the same. I carefully planned my meme out. I didn't want to make something worn-out, like a "le face" or an animal with "-e" on the end. Those things are funny the first few times. We'd never seen a really big vehicle meme, so I decided to make my meme a zeppelin. For humorous effect, I called it "blimp" and stuck Viking oars on it; to make it more iconic I colored it bright yellow.

For me it was somewhere a year ago. I came back from holidays, and I realised s4s was still here. So I looked inside and I fell in love at the first sight. It perfectly mached my ironic sense of humor and it was such a friendly place, what a breath of fresh air after the time spent on the rude, festering boards! I actually didn't post for quite some time, I studied the s4swikia, saved maymeys, made screenshots and collected copypastas. I started doing something I never done before: I started making OC. Sure it was bretty bad at first. But after some time, when I showed s4s to my friend, I was like "I made this pic", " oh and this one too". So I just randomly opened the board and I have seen this OC I made being reposted. Great feeling, I hope you all felt it too. So thats a little story about my humble begginings in this board. I knew about 4chan since it was started but I never had any interest in it until you guys starting significantly affecting things outside of 4chan, so I started coming to /b/ in 2010 to study it and ended up getting sucked into it, then right when I was starting to get kind of bored of it [s4s] was created and those first couple of months where it was hidden were totally ridiculous and i had never seen anything else like it on le internet, so i got super involved and then [s4s] progressed and i lost interest at a couple points but i always keep coming back because even though we get fig newtons and rudeposters, the core of goodness that was at the heart of the original [s4s] is still here in some form and there's still really no where else like this for me.
