to define a palindrome recursively, we can use these three definitions:
(B means base case, R means recursion)
B1: an empty string, λ, is a palindrome, and can be removed from another string
B2: Any single character(letter) is a palindrome
R1: if there exists palindrome x and another palindrome y, xyx is also a palindrome.

with this definition we can construct any palindrome. For example: the word hannah

λ is a palindrome
n is a palindrome
thus nλn is a palindrome
nn is a palindrome when λ is removed
a is a palindrome
thus anna is a palindrome
h is a palindrome
thus hannah is a palindrome

a character can be any symbol, not just letters, so numbers can aslo be included.

0 is a palindrome
1 is a palindrome
101 is a palindrome, which proves your statement.

How you were able to do that without this process amazes me, which should, i suspect, be expected from Post Peeker.
