I don't really get it myself. Half the class hadn't written a line of code before they got here. We were talking to our personal tutor about why we chose CS and most people said "because I've always been good with computers". Architecture and operating systems was a complete clusterfuck of a module; the module leader called control structures data structures, assembly language machine code, DB an instruction instead of a directive, etc. None of his code ran and by the end of the module maybe 10 people in the class could actually use assembly language, the rest either failed the coursework or fiddled with his code mindlessly until it worked. The lecture slides repeated material and loads of the material from the slides wasn't in past papers. In the end, the exam paper was filled with the easiest questions from previous papers, and people still managed to fail. Grade inflation is a massive problem. These people can't program and they're getting firsts.

I've come to the conclusion that there's no point me going to university because I'll always be unhappy if I have to work a job with people, and long-term the stress of social interaction will likely make me kms.
