Not really true. Dieting right is just as, if not more, important than the actual lifting part. Lifting builds muscle if you are eating right, but if you just want to see changes in your body then it only takes a few months to start gaining or losing noticeable weight.

Real talk OP, some people after their first or second day workout will get a muscle pain for a few days. This is nothing to be alarmed about. On those days, if it hurts to workout, do not work out, and then once it's passed go back to working out again. After that it probably won't come back and you'll find yourself able to workout as often as you like.

Do this for 30-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week, and you'll punch significantly harder than 99% of people.

This is how boxers/mma/thai boxers increase striking power, and condition their hands/wrists/elbows/knees.
