I always got around that shit by saying I don't log into my personal accounts on public computers for security reasons.

I was on JSA for about 6 months. Every day I'd log into the portal thingy and just paste 3 - 4 links from other job sites and write 'applied' next to them. Not once was I ever questioned (middle class white guy so figures). Sounds like they've gotten a lot stricter in recent months though.

Why was there even an office for this? Why do they have a receptionist if she just exists to turn people away? Why do they even exist when your average job search site gives dozens of times more hits?

Literally just copy and pasted job postings URLs into the Journal and said I applied for them and claimed I had successful phone interviews with various ones.

Did this without a single suspicion for over 6 months

The trick is to actually apply for jobs, but have a shit CV, or apply for jobs that you definitely won't get. As long as you can bullshit and actually seem like you want to get a job, they're not that bothered. They see about 30 people a day, every day so it's not like they're watching you closely.

I was on job seekers for like 5 months, had a friendly lady, in her 30s, and I was polite to her and pretended to be applying for jobs, just acting like "I don't understand why they're not giving me a job!" Was nice, just going in there for like 10 minutes once a week, or every 2 weeks,

Eventually they switched me to a new person, this horrible old cunt, and she was like "I want you to come in every couple of days and use the computers here" Then I just left and got a job and never turned up again. It was nice whilst it lasted but it's so depressing going into the job centre.

what i do is just wait till the last day and copy down a bunch of random jobs from my other sheets that i filled out from my recent visits.

My mum does my job applications for me so I don't have to worry about this shit.

It's so shit, I stopped turning up to appointments and got 2 sanctions at once taking my money down to 5 pounds a month as well but I was lucky enough to find a job that makes me only want to kill myself a little bit the day after I was sanctioned.
