I don't know fully desu, I probably am bullshitting didn't know what my starting weight before doing it was but I ended up at 10 stone 6 after doing it for 2 months and I thought I was below that before I started by a bit. I certainly didn't lose weight that's for sure.

If I did swallow the food it'd probably been like 5-6k a day maybe. So tonight I'm thinking about altruism - selfless compassion for others.

I had previously thought that altruism was just a myth; even if people appeared to be acting selflessly, they were really personally benefiting in some way. They may have benefited from the status boost from them being perceived by others as being selfless, or they would otherwise 'feel good about themselves'. But I was not convinced that true selflessness, where the person does not benefit in any way, existed.

That was until today. My desire for every robot to be freed of their depression changed my mind. I would not benefit in any way from other robots being happy, yet I still deeply wished for it.

If altruism really does exist, it may have some political implications. I won't go too much into them because I don't really like talking about politics, but it could suggest that theories of individualism and self-interest, such as those of John Locke, may be flawed. Those theories form part of the justifications for capitalism and free markets. The theories can be summed up, I think, by this quote from Adam Smith, the 'father of economics':

I like the imagine Ebin's dad was a really outgoing and active person when Ebin was born. As he saw the type of person Ebin became his body shut down with how ashamed he was of his son and as such he lost his job and is in the situation he is in now.

I bought it at launch and it was fucking shit, I sold it for most of what I spent so there no loss. But all my mates got back into it since they added huge ships you can build, you can drive cars around, build bases, and there's 'multiplayer' now. Also theres a story and large faction wars you can join. Also the game isn't an ugly piece of shit anymore. It was like 9 quid on the PSN store so I picked it up and it's pretty fun

Oh and the best part of this shit is they finally got rid of most the shitty guided flying so you can fly low and crash your ship, for some reason they hate you flying under stuff though so the game will make you fly over arches and stuff which is a bit gay

Hmm, do I stay awake and catch up on Ebin's blog, or do I just go to sleep? Last entry I read was 'Tesco frogger and Neighbour' so I've got a lot to catch up on
