Haha yeah I've been there many times lad. Getting drunk at pres should be where you're getting most smashed, then you just keep having a few drinks in a club every now and then to keep drunk. Thought I'm blessed with being able to down copious amounts of alcohol without throwing up, probably due to my size and height. Most guys in a club are socially awkward, alcohol just takes away your inhibitions and makes you do shit like talking to a fit girl without thinking twice. I was very angry yesterday, the first time I've felt like that in a few months. It was a horrible feeling. It got me thinking about anger itself, what causes it, and how it can be managed.

Each type is unique and distinct, though multiple types can be experienced simultaneously. Personally, Type 1 anger is the one I struggle with most. I manage it much better than I used to though.

The reason why some people feel Type 1 anger is because we feel we are not performing as well as we should. Type 1 anger can therefore be mitigated by reassessing the standards we hold ourselves to to see if they are realistic and sensible. Type 1 anger can be particularly inflamed when we feel we are being judged for our performance and are not performing to the standards of others. This is when Type 1 anger is especially dangerous; in the most extreme cases it is all-engulfing and consuming. To manage this requires a drastic internal reassessment of the core of oneself. Essentially, one needs to be able to completely reject external validation and instead become entirely satisfied with their own approval.

Type 2 anger is, I believe, the most common type of anger. Even at its most extreme it is less acute than Type 1 anger. It is difficult to manage this without adopting and embracing aspects of sociopathy. Maybe one can find relief by coming to accept that they are unable to change everything they see wrong with the world.

Type 3 anger is the kind that most often provokes outbursts at other people. This type of anger may be linked to Type 1 if the person feels they are being actively judged and scorned by others to the extent that it feels like a personal attack. Type 3 anger is best managed, I think, by reassessing whether there really has been any personal slight. That said, this type of anger may be the most justified out of all the types. The anger may actually be helpful in rectifying our mistreatment.

Ive been on a long journey in the exploration for ideas and solutions to lifes problems, but I feel like my yearning for eternal knowledge has just consumed my heart with darkness and I now feel their is truly no hope in life other than living in a shack in the woods, writing propgada and just living off the land as man used to before the age of the modern world came about.

I normally try to post a little earlier than this but even then I don't like posting when the thread is very busy.

To sum it up very briefly, I think there are 3 distinct kinds of anger: frustration over our inability to do something, offence when we see something we disapprove of, and indignation when we have been personally wronged.

I think the urge to compare oneself to others is one of the most complex and difficult feelings to cope with, deeply embedded in the belief that the approval of others is more important than our own approval. It requires intense effort to overcome but when it is achieved, speaking from experience, it is fantastically liberating.

The feeling of frustration that we are NEETs and not performing up to the standards we hold ourselves to are also troubling. Although these feelings may spur us on to action, we must always be careful to ensure that the standards we hold ourselves to are realistic.

Its very much an acurate description of the types of anger and how they are caused and what can be said about them, however i woudnt really know as i havent experinced such thoughts of anger in years.
At work i used to get so stressed out and angry with my job and the way it was in regards to the incomptence of people around me and how such people were making me do all the work and whom should be laid off for not knowing what they were doing.

But now I dont think ive been angry in about a year as i now truly have no true sense of emotion in regards to anything im just a blank canvas of nothingness but infomation and facts all stress has just simply vanished it just flies over my head, and I have no real sense of devotion or trying hard I just take my time and do enough not to get sacked.

I will even have my parents shout at me and i will just simply ignore them without even flinching or shouting back just simply nod and go "yeah whatever".
Prehaps its the problems with my social isolation that has brought this about.
or my simple disdain for socitey, people and everything as i have grown older and twisted to such a point where i just dont care anymore.

Is your current lack of emotion a relief, or do you wish you could feel anger again? I've similarly felt very 'numb' for a while now but the anger I felt yesterday convinced me I would definitely prefer numbness to that awful feeling.

I know what you mean with regards to stress from working on projects with others. It feels very much like it's all or nothing with the anger in those cases; I can either fully immerse myself in the project and genuinely try, which will result in frustration if it is not going perfectly, or I can totally refuse to emotionally attach to it. Feels like there is no in-between. More and more these days I choose the latter because it's always impossible when working with others to ensure the project turns out as I envision it.

I really dont quite know to be honest part of me is telling me I dont want to be like a clockwork orange completly robbbed of all humanity and just a walking encyclopedia who is devoid of all emotions.

Yet another more powerful force is just overriding all that and making me think of my past troblues and ignorance towards the the world, making me realise a return to such a state is just nigh impossible due to all the forbidden knowledge ive absorbed over the years that has radically changed my outlook on life for better or worse I dont even know.
