How does a NEET overcome the dreaded feeling of squandered opportunity and loss of time?

I never really used any online courses, just one off articles and youtube videos teaching certain things I wanted to learn when they popped up

I recommend getting alternate pick down (or finger picking if you want to play the song you posted), learning scales (major, minor, blues, basically all the beginner stuff, just google it, you cant get it wrong), learning barre chords as they are super useful and then just practicing till your super comfortable holding the guitar and using your figures

after that just learn the songs you like, there just comes a point where it all clicks into place, keep practicing till you reach that place, and then keep practicing more because you'll have millions of little click moments, honestly tho, its so worth it, just keep chill and try to enjoy the ride

I had a horrible nightmare last night where I, for some stupid reason, posted a pic of my bank card on /britfeel/. Moments later I had been fully doxxed and my details made public.

So, tonight I'm thinking about dreams. More specifically, if you could live in a perfect dream world, whilst remaining comatose in this world, would you?

I would. The main reason why is that whether the world is simulated or not is completely unimportant to me. This is because I have come to accept that this world may not be real either. For all I know, this may be just a simulation. With that in mind, we can completely dismiss as irrelevant any deliberations over whether things have more legitimacy and are more desirable if they are real.

Yet, it takes concerted effort for me to come to that conclusion; it feels like it goes against my natural instincts. I think this is for two reasons:

1. I am biased to preserve the status quo, probably a natural instinct in humans.
2. I still falsely and subconsciously believe this world is real.

Interestingly, this very question is used as 'evidence' against hedonism, the belief that the pursuit of pleasure is the ultimate aim in life, because the creator of this thought experiment, Robert Nozick, assumed that we would decline to live in the 'simulated' reality. I believe that the reason people may decline is for the above two reasons (and reason 2b: 'real' things have more legitimacy than 'fake' things, a silly reason in my opinion because it assumes this world really is real), not because hedonism is necessarily flawed.
