How did everyone's last interview go? I've always been a complete mess during my interviews (sweaty palms, stuttering, unsure responses, contradicting statements), and I have another one coming up on Wednesday.

I understand the necessity for interviewing prospective hires, but I just wish there were another way. I'm a great worker, but I fall apart when I'm being questioned for 20+ minutes

that would work, the problem is that they don't want to do it that way (partially because it would increase pressure for people to get higher wages, and partially because they want to move jobs offshore to china etc anyway.)

yeah, i know, hence the government now doing any about tax avoidance and evasion. i understand that we should keep the rich happy because they ultimately create jobs but there should be safety nets to stop them from being too corrupt. there is literally no need for someone to be more than a billionaire, and its retarded if they are not taxed a lot.

Really well, actually. I had applied to a Security position when I was hammered one night, and by the next morning I had completely forgotten about it. Got an email a week later telling me that they were doing interviews all day, and that they wanted me to come in as well.

Showed up with the mindset that there was no chance in hell I would be getting the job, so I was actually relaxed and nonchalant about the whole thing. Answered the usual questions without any hesitation, and I also made it a point to ask both the men who were interviewing me a bunch of questions about the job. They really liked that fact that I showed interest in their work, and at the end of the questionnaire, we chatted about local politics and football.

They told me to leave the room and wait in the lobby, so I did. There was another bloke in there waiting to be interviewed, but we didn't talk to each other. 2 minutes later, the interviewers called me in and told me I had the job. This was about a week ago, and I start training this Tuesday

Got a plant, some Mint Dark Chocolate Twirls and some Dried Strawberry Chews from the mum, a pot of some sort of honey from the uncle, and some money from a few others.

As time goes on I get more and more convinced that my efforts to avoid being bullied did more damage than the bullying itself would have.

Anyone know this feel?

It went well in that I didn't have to do an "interview", I went on the floor with a bit of detail what to do and they just said "we'll see how you fair", after that they asked for my details and I got the position.

I eventually left though because it was the graveyard shift and 50+ hours pw even though they said 3 nights a week, they wouldn't cut it down so I gritted it for some extra money then fucked off.
