R9k was just /b/ with muteblocks, then over time it became a greentext stories board. One of them was a guy who took his date to mcdonalds, not even that outrageous by today's r9k standards. Moot saw it and linked to it in the announcements at the top of every board.
It was something like "r9k - classy dating 101" or similar, I can't find any screens of it right now.

I just got my Driver license yesterday so I feel kinda good about myself. Still Im friendless loser. Graduating soon and Im gonna have to start working fulltime right after that and it really freaks me out.
