My problem has always been getting to sleep in the first place and then staying asleep all night.

I've started showering before bed so I'm all clean and cozy. That's helped me get to sleep in the first place. Try to limit your screen time (PC, TV etc.) before you go to sleep. If I fall asleep with something playing on my laptop I always wake up again and have to turn the light off. Reading a book or something is a better way for your brain to wind down before you nod off. That's helped me too. Having a routine helps as well. I work a 9-5 so I have to get up and go at the same time each day during the week. I also try to get up and shower even when I've got nothing to do that day.

I read something about staying up for a whole day / night then eating when you want to wake up the next day. Apparently that's meant to reset your body clock or something. Could be bollocks, I've never tried it.

I'm almost there I think. It's the drinking on a Friday and sleeping in until Saturday lunchtime that fucks me up. I'll be sorted if I can fix that.
