As soon as you've bifurcated once, you may be limited to how much energy you can generate at once (since you'll have other individuals around while you're slowly building the energy up).

>I'm not sure exactly what turn prompt means (or what exactly an Evo game is, for that matter).
Turn prompts are posts where you can input commands, as some updates can be long.
Evo games are short for evolution games, there's some in the catalog. It's mostly similar to this quest, the development of say a species or society in increments.
It can overlap with Civ or Civilization games which are about a society and its progression. Civs are normally more involved or detailed than Evo games, like a strategy compared to a god game. Civs are rather popular in the catalog.

I'd agree, keeping a schedule or timely announcements is one of the most important parts to maintaining a consistent questerbase.
You should probably have some sort of limiter on how you gain energy.
As it is you could just do Energy Generation X infinity or some other ridiculously large number at the start and never worry about anythings cost again.
Maybe have food randomly generate every ten turns or something so you would have to move to go and get it.
Also, making it multiplayer would be interesting but I can see it quickly getting out of hand, so I would make sure you've got the system down before you try something like that.
Also, If you decide you won't make another one, I might, I tried out a concept like this once but it never gained traction.
Actually, I might just do that anyways.
>>1809269
I once tried a concept similar to this a long time ago, on a forum. Instead of generating energy, the player had to acquire points through unique actions. That limited it, but it got sort of arbitrary.
I'm afraid the food thing would get too tedious if the players just have to say "get food" over and over again.
>>1809228
I probably will start over, but whether I start a new quest or continue this one, I'll make a twitter for it.
Just made a derivative, it's called Dotquest.
>>1809277

He already is, here >>1809327

>>1810401
Okay, this is the all-new quest.
