I don't do Shadowrun as a replacement for regular cyberpunk; there's other stuff then that that uses plain old cyberpunk better, even if it's not as famous or popular.

I do Shadowrun because it's Shadowrun and despite the trappings of cyberpunk it really is it's own thing at this point.

The idea actually was that I'd offer a character option for every basic SR archetype (Decker included) each with a set "character" to it; each character would have a backstory and personality but you'd decide his actions and reactions.
You'd have/assemble a team and periodically you'd switch between members of your team on runs, with the original character being the "main" character.

Just some advice to make your quest good, OP.

1) Pre-gen the MC. As in, have a character already set. I know you want to make the MC's role be chosen by us, but other than that, you need to set it before the game starts. Too many quests sank in chargen because of arguments.

2) Be prepared with a plotline, and be even more prepared when us players drive it off the rails in unexpected ways.

3) Don't make the character do things they don't want to do (or do things against their character), even if there's a majority vote.

4) Most important of all is to let all of us, the QM and the players, to have fun/enjoy the story.

This isn't actually my FIRST quest, so I knew most of that stuff.

It's gonna be very hard to run a successful quest unless you can AT LEAST devote one evening a week to the quest.

Cause you're not going to get any regular quest readers, you're going to get just a bunch of randos who are not invested in the quest and much more likely to shit post.

That being said, a real Shadowrun Quest would be pretty cool.
