Yes, I learnt python first to get the basics of conditional logic and the idea behind loops.
My first class then taught me about functions, datatypes and various OOP things.

It was C a really long time ago but I never bothered learning about pointers. After that it was PHP and C#. The first language I really took the time to learn "everything" about was Python and now I'm getting gud at Go.

C++. I picked up one of those teach yourself books at Books-A-Million (remember those?) and hacked away at it for a while, then realized my disgust for direct memory management was too great so I moved on to other ones and never looked back.
