Hypothesizing on weather is a pain. It goes very slowly and predictions are usually wrong. That's what we saw in the Oroville Dam threads. On the west coast there are rare "atmospheric rivers" bring a ton of rain. They're rare, they're destructive, but they're essential for building up snowpack.

Currently we're looking to around 3 weeks will the water goes down, meanwhile we're not allowed into our houses because of structural dangers and mold. We peered inside and I saw our freezer floating around, it has allow of meet inside and well, it's not good

Like 80% of Houston didnt flood. The reason for all the flooding is the cheap development. The city and Harrie County let developers run wild and cut corners on regulations (including flooding).

A lot of this could have been avoided even with the massive amounts of rain if the metro area was more planned out with additional reservoirs, wider bayous, and higher elevations for homes in flood plains.
