I did a paper on monetary policy in college recently, and yeah, a good deal of speculation was done on our monetary policy and Friedman was cited often in scholarly articles. But it's all just speculation and theory anon. His intellectual prowess was a marketing gimmick imo. They achieved nothing politically. Friedman's biggest contribution to economic order was in influencing Reagan and influential neocons in fiscal policy, in which he had a huge impact. His vision for us was an atomized, individualist service economy. And according to his morality, these intentions were noble.

But I don't like the result of his intentions or his influence. In fact, both are quite gay desu. America has far, far greater heroes who took on the bank and actually won (all pre-1913, of course). I readily concede that he acted like a complete moron in the primaries, and by not throwing his support more fully and openly behind Trump, I suspect he was planning to come out the other side with the "Never Trumpers" as one of the "good Republicans" who warned us.
