The DOW reached approximately 18k when Obama was in office. Since Trump's election it has soared more than 4k to approximately 22k. The reason for this has been the expectation of a reform of the tax code and other priorities the business community wants to see. In 2011 I was stationed in Afghanistan and learned about BTC. I was on the verge of purchasing $10k just to see what would happen. Ended up deciding against it. My reasoning was:

An exchange is something like poloniex, it has an initial limit of $2500 a day, that is BTC to USD. Your BTC is almost worthless for your real life, until it's transferred to "real" (government backed fiat) money. This is what you need an exchange for, and where you start running into possible limits.
