ABC personality Leigh Sales has shared an example of the horrid online abuse she receives, posting a tweet attacking her recent marriage breakdown.

The popular 7.30 host told followers she wouldn’t usually share the “copious abuse” she has regularly received since she began fronting the program, but chose to expose this particularly offensive comment.

The anonymous tweeter had decided to take aim at Sales’s recent split with husband Phil Willis, and somehow linked that with the presenter’s assumed views on marriage equality.

“Since (Leigh Sales) couldn’t hold her own marriage together, she’s busy campaigning to destroy every one else’s,” he wrote.

It’s not the first time Sales has drawn attention to sexist and abusive feedback she’s received online.

During last year’s election campaign, shepublicly shamed trolls who had hurled “sexist” and “disgusting” abuse towards her.

“Let me call out the river of disgusting, sexist and relentless abuse on Twitter during this campaign with a handful of examples,” she wrote, before retweeting comments calling her names, accusing her of political bias, and making other lewd and explicit comments.

Actually I do have an argument against gay marriage that isn't based on a reactionary stance.
Gay people have aids, I don't recommend you to take that study from the other week, which is also from Melbourne, that says gays don't transmit aids.
It's well documented how the physical structure of the anus facilitates the trasnmission of aids, don't go near that study you'll embarress yourself.

The core of the argument is that gays won't be having children to provide care for them in old age, so they'll be reliant on the state for medical care.
It's "fair" for gays to not have access to the tax breaks allowed to married couples because it will compensate for their increased medical usage which is caused by a lack of caregivers and the presence of medical conditions associated with homosexuality.

I think that this is a good mix of simple, Australian, historical and gives some exposure to some interesting stylistic stuff that's all easy to process. i think certain subjects have a sexuality bias(i dont know if that's the right term for it)
like, history is male dominated and home ec is female orientated but both are valuable to both genders
so making certain subjects balanced might not be necessary if as a whole the curriculum has a balance

Literature/English absolutely requires a balance. At the moment our schools are turning it into a vagina-studies tier girl subject when it's probably one of the most important for everybody. If Australians were in touch with our cultural heritage we wouldn't be in this mess with the gays, the all-female army or anything else in the first place. English and History are where it's at, but the humanities are in a pretty shit state right now. The pure History courses in Year 11 & 12 I think are excellent but before that it's hit and miss. Geography is also fantastic at the higher levels if you have a good teacher.
