So yeah incriminating images can be hidden in your images this way, but cuckchan denies any such upload. The other more obvious one is to use hidden layers which cuckchan allows though.

I have simple scripts here that processes all my images, some steal the payload to analyze the virus, others just purges all crap out the images. They are easy to just write your self, you already got nice tools for handling this in linux(imagemagik etc)

One is just a fucking telnet exploit that allows for uploading, executing, downloading and deleting files on your system. This you can just make scripts to id and fix though. I've had tons of them and few images gets destroyed after I've cleaned them up. As mentioned the anti virus programs still don't always id and clean them for you, doing it manually then you are safe and sound.

A hard drive is a physical object that stores data by alteration of specific domains of magnetic moment upon the surface of a spinning metallic platter.

It would however show up in the size of the file, that is unless it simply contain a brazzilian atack that is there is code in the metadata and this padding at the end of the file that goes and gets cp on the net and/or later on your hardrive.

I think there is premade metasploit modules for injecting executable code out there too, I write my own and use them so I'm not sure. It should be rather easy to find however. One exploit I got here, injects simple javascript in your image and hosted on a site or sent in a mail it executes js shit both on linux, mac and shitdows. If you write shit in C it has to be targetting one specific OS though
