This is a thread for the discussion of all ideologies that promote property rights, individual liberty and lassez-faire capitalism. These includes (but is not limited to) anarcho-capitalism, paleolibertarianism, minarchy, agorism and anti-leftism (i.e. physical removal, so to speak). All others are welcome to learn and debate us.
Reminder that this is a right-wing thread, so libertine degenerates ('live and let live' faggotry), open-border advocates and faux-libertarians (e.g. Gary Johnson) are not welcome here - people here recognise that property rights imply discrimination and a return to traditional, conservative values.
Although questions are welcome, many are repeated often, so it is recommended you research the basics first. Nobody here is obligated to debate with you, so try to avoid using fallacies in your arguments or creating unrealistic scenarios.

Unfortunately it has become synonymous with libertarianism in the public eye. They think that standing against centralized authority entails standing against discipline and responsibility.

Hey guys, what do you propose we call /lrg/ aesthetics. Fashwave doesn't work since our goal is the end of the existence of the state, whereas theirs, as I understand it, is to give it almost total authority.

I'd suggest libertywave or freewave, but that seems too basic and uninspired. I know the leftists are using labourwave. Privatewave? But that doesn't flow well.

libertarian left:
> c4ss.org
> http://www.mutualist.org/id114.html

one good case left libertarians make is against "vulgar" libertarians e.g. ones who ignore the plight of the poor.

their counter-argument is things like getting rid of the welfare state by cutting taxes "from the bottom up", to give the poorfags time to adjust to a free market economy.

this could be a good strategy for winning over lefties who realize socialism is inferior to capitalism.
>>
>>135834573

Public service announcement for all the libertarians in the thread, you should all be in New Hampshire. There have been significant gains made in the state by the libertarian party there. A lot of people have gotten elected, meaningful legislation has been passed, and there is an active community, including activists. I really believe in the Free State Project, to the point that I am going to be moving out there before the end of the year. I invite all of you to join me in doing so, I think, if you really believe in the philosophy, New Hampshire is a chance to make real progress and show people that these ideas work when put into practice.

Anarchy doesn't work.
>>
>>135847826

Libertarians don't ignore the plight of the poor, we just don't believe that we don't need supporting the poor to be obligated by force. I will say that one blind spot by libertarians is not realizing the role organized religion can play in a voluntary society. Often times churches can step in and take care of the poor, faith and charity go a long way in solving this problem.
>>
>>135848726
but that's how many libertarians come off when they say they want to immediately abolish the welfare state. hence, taking the incrementalist approach can make it seem more palatable.
>>
>>135849017
The incremental approach is going to be done either way because the government (should be) limited in what it can accomplish per term.

>>135847826
another good argument that comes out of the libertarian left...

large corporations encounter the economic calculation problem that states do, and become inefficient due to central planning

the cause of this is because states subsidize large corporate structures that could not exist in free market

left libertarians strongly advocate destroying patent law, state education (which serves to subsidize corporate inputs), and other subsidies that give rise to large, inefficient firms
>>
>>135849108
tone down your autism ffs
im advocating strategies for redpilling normies
part of that is displaying empathy and compromise toward the poor, e.g. emphasizing cutting taxes from the bottom up
>>
>>135849362
State education can be a safe guard against corrupt aristocracies forming in the government itself should there ever be enough people who can't afford private education. State education alone on the other hand has the opposite effect. It might be one of those things where a compromise is necessary.

THIS.

>>135848343
If you want to define ancaps as statists, then sure, it's far better than your "real anarchy"
>>
>>135849362
We also advocate the destruction of patent law, state education and other subsidies. What's your point?

point is left libertarians have done a better job at describing the causes of and problems within large firms
