Is it worth the time and effort? I am experienced with learning other languages such as French, Russian, Latin and Ancient Greek
why do you want to learn it?
Hungarian is not Indo-European, so it will be difficult to learn.

I think Hungary is a really interesting country and they have a unique cultural. I also heard it was very difficult so it would be a good challenge. Personal interest really

you learned latin and ancient greek and are asking if learning hungarian is worth it
dont listen to what people tell you, do what you want, learn as many languages as you have interest in
hungarian will be kindof difficult since you dont really have any other languages in the same family learned, but im sure youll do fine

As an authentic hun, I can tell you that our country is not what /pol/ whips it up to be. It's still pretty fine though, if you disregard the traditional habits of derring-do and plothole abuse.
If you want to learn the language, though, I suggest you take it seriously. It's one of the most difficult languages in all of Europe and the phonetics practically only allow Türkish people to be able to learn perfect pronunciation. Most of our stuff tears foreign voice boxes apart. However, if you succeed and end up truly learning the language to a fluent or near-fluent level, I can guarantee you that the locals will treat you with a basis of respect no foreigner ever enjoys aside Polaks.
