I am however fine with county Sheriff's being armed because at least with them there is some element of accountability due to it being an elected position and it being the only constitutionally recognized police position.
Between the unions and the absurdly high population of armed cops you not only have no way to get rid of bad cops, but you also have far too many idiots being armed and free to shoot anything that moves without much repercussion.
