Not really. A lot of it just questions popularly held aesthetics. The moderist and post-modernist movements were really seeking to escape the arbitrary limits of older convention.

I think what I've posted is undeniably beautiful.

Simply throwing away entire art movements just because you don't enjoy their false stereotype, is just ignorant. All art movements have serious beauty and insight to offer-- limiting yourself to just one era is shameful.

If you guys knew anything about the modern art movement that's been going on recently, a lot of new artists are following suit against "modern art", just as the impressionists did.

Lots of art academies in Russia and China have been pushing fundamentals over creativity, compared to western art institutes. The main problem with a lot of western art institutes are that people who go there are from rich families, and they don't need any artistic background; because most of the schools are private establishments, their revenue is solely on these kids who don't even need to be good artists and can draw a bunch of bullshit and skim through art theory and practice and still get a degree, and because they are rich, they can afford to get their name out on some garbage bullshit.

Not at all. I'm only rejecting the claim that only certain art-- that is, art that meets a certain criterion of looking "realistic", or "classical" is the only art that can be beautiful or true. That's flat out wrong. I never said art can't be objectively beautiful-- only that applying arbitrary rules to them is totally false, doesn't make any sense.

I'm not even rejecting the stuff posted ITT, in fact I'm a big fan of a lot of it. Playing the "realistic" art is the only art card
