So bitcoin just hit another all time high and /pol/ is not talking about this?

the people itt shitting on bitcoin are your average autistic /pol/ contrarians. the online drug market is absolutely massive, highly functional, and in no danger of disappearing anytime soon. anyone who disagrees with that has very little knowledge about it. btc is the currency of choice, and will be the standard for a long time. this was the driving factor towards btc's inital spike in popularity, and remains it's #1 function, by far.

fuck you statist cucks who are against this, if you think drugs are so bad, let people do them and kill themselves while you rise above, bathing in your superiority.

It's never too late. I bet some retard like you thought $1000 was too late to hop in. Bitcoin is for holding. Long-term wise you can't lose.

All these crypto faggots are in for a rude awakening when they realize they've been day trading and not paying taxes and have no money to pay an accountant. People are starting to get hit for it, have fun with your 45% loss when you cash out, or prison for tax evasion and structuring. You can deny it all you want, the only people that think you're rich are yourself and the IRS. Good luck with your $3000 overstock.com giftcard pyramid scheme.

you don't seem to understand a fundamental end of this "money". Over 90% of the ownership is already concentrated; same with ETH. So when it falls, it FALLS. Liquidity gets eaten like your mom eating a tuna sandwich. You need to look at world market cap and ability to get your money out.
No grid. No bitcoin.
No electronics. No bitcoin.
No free internet. No bitcoin.
Public ledger is exactly the opposite of anonymous. It's pump and dump scheme. Literally it can be duplicated if enough people get sick of supporting it. Shit it may hit 10k. but ultimately, you'll be holding the bag that some hacker will steal very soon. sage

Bitcoin has a market cap of $50 billion.

Amazon has a market cap of $467 billion.

If you don't think that bitcoin is worth at least as much as Amazon then you're deluded and have no idea what bitcoin is and the implications of blockchain technology on everything.

Honestly. Bitcoin will hit 50-100k in my opinion. There's such a long way to go. We're still in the beginning stages.

Better make it a single transaction if mexico has laws against structuring like the US. You get the deposit, declare it, and pay around $40k. Try to mete out small payments, and you're hit with tax evasion, and structuring, which is likely to double your sentence.
>>129549324
Tax regulations are just fine and apply to crypto, at least in the US. If you're day trading stocks (assets), you have to record every transaction which is a taxable event. It's the very same way with crypto, most people just think the law will overlook them. That may be the case now, but that isn't necessarily going to be the case moving forward. Also, purchasing any good or service with BTC is a tax event, you really need an accountant on retainer if you're playing in those markets. Most accountants won't touch you with a ten foot pole, but don't say you weren't warned.

I'm personally waiting for some blockchain technology with real utility, I really think ltc has a future if btc fucks up and hands a hash rate monopoly to that chinese dickhead. Buying bitcoins is a good idea, just not now. A quick look at the curve shows that we're pretty much in the "delusion/new paradigm" section right now. That said, the previous peak of 1100$ two years ago was the same way and now it looks like the "first sell off/bear trap" of the current peak. A few years from now when bitcoins hits 10k we'll look back at the 3k peak as the "first sell off". Basically, wait a few weeks for the crash and snipe up some cheap coins then.

There is literally no reason to invest in Bitcoin as long as gold exists.
In a completely nuclear meltdown, both will be useless. In a minor meltdown, gold will be, bitcoins won't.
They're both supported by the weakening and eventual collapse of the dollar, but gold also has intrinsic value due to its use in jewelry as well as many technologies.
>>
Bitcoin is in a massive bubble.
Bitcoin will never become a widely-used currency because it is technically limited to seven transactions per second, globally.

Bitcoin is a stupid investment as it depends entirely on the things i mentioned. Illegal websites and people investing.
If one of those illegal websites goes down tomorrow, then the price of bitcoin plummets and investers panic and stell off decreasing price more. Only recovers as people would still be using it to buy illegal things and so people see the trend and will invest back. But there's an entire possibility that it could crash again during the increase meaning people loose more money.

Bitcoin is volatile, yes you can make money but it depends on luck much the same way you do on gambling.
At the moment you sound like a gambling junkie trying to validate your addiction.

Satoshi Nakamoto was a pseudonym for the benevolent rogue faction of the deep state that created Bitcoin. They waited silently for years until they got Trump into office. Now the time has come to activate the 1 million Satoshi coins which have remained dormant for all these years.
Trump hanging up Andrew Jackson's portrait in the oval office was his obnoxiously unsubtle announcement that he is definitely with 100% certainty going to destroy the Federal Reserve and indeed the globalist's entire fiat banking system within the next four years. The replacement will be Bitcoin.
Federal Reserve Notes will be replaced with a bitcoin-backed currency. They will work just like fiat - no transaction fees or wait times - but the difference is their BTC value is guaranteed by the US government. The Satoshi stash is what will back the currency. Any banks that resist the change will be shut down and their CEOs arrested for treason.
The Winklevoss twins also reached a deal with Trump to both make BTC the new world reserve currency and also get their final revenge against Zuckerberg. They gave half of their BTC stash to Trump to get him on board. Trump will soon have Mattis bomb every Facebook data center worldwide. ISIS will be falsely accused. This will be the push for the new war to build Greater Israel and the flashpoint to liberate London, Minneapolis, Dearborn, Sweden, France, Germany, etc. from the death grip of the globalists' 5th column radical islamic terror network. Trump wanted to do all of this anyway, the Winklevoss payoff just sweetens the deal.
Trump the bankslayer is very vain and knows that if he pulls of a graceful global transition to Bitcoin, he'll be seen as a hero worldwide for centuries to come.
Soon the Trump-run SEC will reverse the Obama administration's rejection of the Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF and all hell will break loose as the globalists make their last desperate grasp for power. Expect the MUH RUSSIA false flag we've been waiting for

Its value will be over 1 trillion by 2020, but that's not important because they will still use a fractional reserve policy. The actual coins will only be accessed when individuals demand to possess the small amount of bitcoin backing their currency, which will be never. Everyone will continue to choose the convenience of the speed of pseudo-fiat over the security nightmare and slow transaction times of managing their own bitcoin wallet. Not everything is shilling but hey if you hate money. I just find it funny how people think a thread on 4chan can move the price of BTC at this point when it has a market cap of ~50 billion dollars. This essentially means that for every 10% it goes up the market needs another 5 billion dollars pumped into it.

Do you have 5 billion dollars anon? I thought so. Only low market cap coins (read shitcoins) can be effectively shilled this way. Not coins with multi billion dollar market caps.

Hi Bitcoiners. Former crypto-currency evangelist here. Several years ago I built a platform that let you trade futures contracts on Bitcoin and other coins. I got to know a lot of folks in the scene. I learned some interesting things.

First off, there are some major players who have extremely large investments in Bitcoin dating back to 2013-2014. Their exit target is $50,000 or so. They don't own the coins directly, rather they did a couple of passthroughs via investment funds, various Bitcoin startups, etc. They invested in several Bitcoin startups far in excess of any realistic need for operating capital. The money was really for buying and holding Bitcoin, and taking the leftover funds and making it look like they had a business dealing with Bitcoin. It wasn't about blockchain applications, it was just about buying, convincing the public to go all-in, and eventually selling at that inflection point. They don't believe in the currency the way you "coiners" talk about it with near religious fervor (even if I didn't know the things I did, the phrase "no-coiner" is enough to make me realize the doomed nature of this entire venture). They understand the appeal it has, and they are positioned to take maximum advantage of that.

They probably will. These aren't stupid people. They are good at what they do. You might even have seen a few of them making cameos as themselves on a rather funny HBO show.

Bitcoin probably will hit $50k because crowds are crowds, and despite "this time it's different" people are hilariously the same. And then when your grandmother is into it, when your cousin is into it, when your best friend is into it - that's when the bottom will drop out, and everyone will be left standing around wondering what happened.

Do you have money you could put into Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency? Invest in yourself, sucker.

actual wisdom, although BTC is going to get it's shit pushed in by disruptive tech like waves and arc. It isn't even a good speculative vehicle anymore, the transaction times are abysmal and not many people want to close their eyes and buy the highs. The only thing BTC in particular has going for it is name recognition. LTC is a far superior crypto, but I'm thinking everything is going to be made obsolete by these shitty jewish tokens on the eth platform. Bancor is about to fuck shit up hard in the alt market, and anyone that lifts and augments bancor's model is going to compound the issue. There is WAYYYY too much volatility for any smart money to be invested right now. Enter at your own peril, you might make absurd returns, but you better not ever sleep, and check charts 24/7. Even then, if you're in BTC, you can't even transfer funds "instantly" like all these retards are saying on any exchange I know of. And in the event of a major price shift, what's to stop them from freezing the exchange to prevent sandboxing? The fucking forex didn't have a problem doing that when the ruble crashed.

Didn't lose money, didn't make money. I wasn't involved with Bitcoin to buy and hold and make a fortune, I honestly believed in the goodness of it until I understood how it had been and would continue to be co-opted, and I didn't want any part of that. (You) may get your money out and make a profit, but a lot of innocent people are going to get very hurt in the end and you will have contributed to that. Then again, /pol/ has more edge than the last act of FFIV, so whatever, enjoy.

I was wondering if you could offer any.. insights on him in relation to this, perhaps?

I just remember coming across him from a child abuse / pedo ring documentary, then googling his name and realizing the rabbit hole definitely goes a lot deeper on this subject matter in relation to him...

I don't think you read my first post. Satoshi Nakamoto does not exist. They decided to make Bitcoin look like an innocent grassroots hobbyist project from someone on the opposite side of the planet in order to avoid scrutiny from other factions of the deep state

how the fuck do you turn shitcoins into slightly-more-real-money without sending a full identity theft package to some shady fly by night internet pseudo-bank site
>>
>>129560928
Eh, not quite. Stocks have different potential benefits apart from their fungible value in terms of ownership control and dividends. inb4 "SNAP", yes that's bullshit and probably just as bad as issuing their own altcoin.

In comparison to the stock market, if I was dragged into several conversations a week by Uber drivers, personal trainers, restaurant waitstaff and the like (their occupations, not the capacity I encounter them in) about all the money they are making off of trading a particular stock, I would worry about the market in that stock. I am getting dragged into these Bitcoin conversations by a cavalcade of people I consider to be pants-on-head retarded about money and investing and I am bracing myself for a wave of pain across my entire social circle when this inevitably busts. Note that none of my actual rich friends are buying Bitcoin; they instead invested in Bitcoin startups years ago, or they are too busy making money from non-zero-sum economic activity to care.

I don't know. I'm not a religious person but if I believed in elemental evil I would think his being was infused with it. I've never been so uncomfortable being near a person in my life. The CIA aren't spies, they're banks and tech companies. It's pretty obvious that they saw an untapped market of online drug trade and foreign capital flight, and then invented a product to capitalize on it. The CIA are really good at finding untaxed money, and silently taxing it.

I think it's gotten out of hand somewhat, if BTC ever loses it's monopoly on collateralization in the alt market to some organic disruptive tech, they'll probably just shitcan the whole project.

Cheers, thanks... That pretty much confirmed what I was suspecting... When I first saw him in a video, his demeanor and tones irked me immediately, something very offputting which made me look deeper on him. He's definitely into some shady, creepy shit. I can understand why you went out your way to avoid him, he hands with a rather... interesting crowd.

Funny how someone who runs with child pedos and was in the y2k boom and likely dabbles in drugs when full in behind the bitcoin - And as I have just confirmed, Satoshi not being real...

(((Someone))) is buying up an awful lot of it. I heard a rumor that the Emir of Qatar put out an 89,200 Bitcoin bounty on Trump's head. That's now $268mm. The Qataris could be dumping a lot of their money into cryptocurrency because of the embargo.

Oh, I agree about BTC being a bad speculative vehicle on its merits, I didn't even want to get into the technical reasons it is eventually fucked. I do think the early folks will keep the momentum up if they can.

I've lived through bubbles and crashes in real markets before and this whole thing is making me feel exceptionally cozy . . . I am extremely happy to be observing from a neutral position.

Nothing stops the Federal Reserve from creating money out of thin air and buying all of the bitcoins for sale on any given day. They could singlehandedly rapidly drive the price upward while obtaining more and more coins until they choose to crash the market, the goal being to scare the goyim into trusting their fiat toilet paper again as the "least worst" currency option available. I wonder if those major players you were talking about had ties to a plan like this. Pic related, Bernanke said this in 2013

>all the dumb american no coiners ITT

All Americans are used to having a stable currency since their birth, that's why you don't understand why so many people from all over the world (China, Mexico, Venezuela, India etc..) are pouring their resources into crypto, it's a way to escape the horrendous inflation and constant shifting of our currency (MXN in a span of 2 years lost like 30% of it's value just because of the orange cuck and his constant tweeting).

People like me have put all their faith into crypto because we truly believe it's the future, but anyways I hope you cucks have fun once the US bond market crashes and the boomers dump their stocks to fund their retirement.

Buy low sell high but most of it was simply buying and longing Ether. It went from 40€(when I first bought in) to over 320€ right now. I also made gains buying and selling Ripple, Lumens, Ethereum Classic and a variety of other shitcoins. It was hard to lose money, the combined market cap went from something like 30 billion dollars to over 100 billion dollars. In hindsight I could've made A LOT more money but hindsight is 20/20.

You're in Serbia so no SEPA (Single Europe Payments Area) though. Get someone in the EU to make a kraken.com account for you and deposit and withdraw though them (or get a bank account in the EU). Your alternative is localbitcoins.com and then trading via poloniex.com but that can be a hassle (and risky I heard) before cashing out trough local bitcoins again. It's why I assume people are bitching about not being able to cash out, if you're outside of the EU, or so I've heard.

I got really interested in drug markets a few years ago and kept up with them for a while even though I never ordered anything. It was more about the entertainment value. There was a lot of drama within the markets like the owners pulling the plug on the customers and running off with everyone's bitcoins while claiming they were hacked.

They'd basically be like "this elite haxor known as 4chan stole everyone's coins, sorry." Back then that shit could happen at any second and it happened often. It's probably no different now. A bunch of the markets got traced by the feds.

Yeah good point nut only temporarily. Don't forget your debit/credit cards won't work either, and banks will not be transacting until the power comes back on (and it will because banks rely on that grid)..
