If making iced tea you boil the bags as you need to make a syrup with the concentrated tea and then water/ice it down to taste.

Regular tea is boiled water with tea added so it has a better flavor. Different temps for the water depending on the variant of tea. Pre-heat the pot before adding boiling water if you are wanting to make it properly.
