I was convinced for a long time that places I traveled to didnt exist until I went there, and they had to delay in order to get them ready first should I ever wander outside my sphere. That TV and news showing the rest of the world was basically just a window to keep me satisfied that the rest of the world was indeed there and real.

Something to add onto my previous post, I had a good friend for a lot of my teenage years around grade 5 and 6. We used to talk on the phone every night playing diablo 2 or other vidya games together. Late at night we would often get into these interesting discussions, sometimes heavy philosophical stuff even though we were still quite young.

We had this stage at night where it felt like our minds were free, like we'd just have higher conciousness for awhile and be able to talk about things that would never pop into our heads otherwise. We called it "being in the void". And one of the consistent things with it, was that it always happened at night, and you couldnt stay for too long. After maybe 20-30 minutes of exposure we'd be drawn back and start feeling normal again. As if to say some outside force noticed we were outside where we should be, then put us back.

Im sure someone will post some scientific explanation on how chemicals in my brain made us high or some shit, but thats my story.
