You probably want to start with a shorter fast of about a week to get your body ready. Learn the difference between true hunger and fake hunger. True hunger means you need to stop fasting because your body has started eating at muscle. You also want to learn how to get off the diet, the most important part. Strength Training builds muscle which incrementally increases the amount of resting calories you burn. High intensity intervals are the best calorie per hour burner, but nothing can pace an imperfect diet's calorie count. If you want to do without fasting, you have to do without being normal. It's sad but true.

And in-b4 some faggot claims his vacuum sealed meals of veggies and boiled chicken every day are legitimately convenient. They're not, and that's retarded.

Bottom line: Being comfortable and capable at prolonged fasting is an absolutely necessary part of long-term health. It allows you to regulate your fat levels, builds willpower, and in the long term allows you to time periodic fasts to overcome natural consumption habits that would otherwise build up into poor health.

This isn't woo-woo and zen yoga bullshit. It's simple science and biology. Stop eating for a week and see for yourself. Once you see the benefits first-hand you won't spew bullshit anymore.

Yeah, I forgot to mention vitamins and salt. I have a nice stash of sea salt to help with that and potassium pills are easy to come by. Maybe you stopped too early. I think the gimmick is to stop after you've lost enough of the fat that you're at a normal size. Basically just make sure someone's available for you if shit goes tits up. If you have some rare heart defects or other misc. shit that effects 0.000001% of the population you will have a bad time and it will be perfectly obvious up-front.

That aside, it's all just drinking heaps of water, some salt so you can retain the water after 48+ hours, and fighting the first 2 days of hunger with your mind. Once you clear the 48 hour mark it's pretty much clear sailing until you start to burn through a significant amount of your body fat.

Worst part of any long-term fast for me as a newbie was breaking it. You have to eat a little bit at a time and let the gut bacteria build back up. I'd recommend starting with a handful of mixed nuts and then a cup of pro-biotic yogurt. Let that be it for the first break day. Have the same the second day and then go back to eating what you need. It takes about a week for your gut bacteria to fully revive but you will be digesting at 90% capacity within a day or two of eating again.

I am currently 215lbs.
I have not worked out, making sure I am comfy with keto, will run\lift starting this next month.

I gained 17lbs in 3 months when both my grandmothers died in Feb and March as I was eating nonstop from mourning. Lost 9lbs since two weeks ago after I curbed my dieting down to 1500 cals. Men in our family normally have high metabolisms so thankfully just cutting down and removing snacks, limiting carbs (bread ect), increasing protein from lean meats and restricting anything that isn't water as a beverage definitely helps.

Also never fast. You're fucking with your body when you do that and not in a good way.

This man infuriates me. You know, if he doesn't need to exercise, he could just limit himself to 2000-2500 cals per day and I gaurantee you that fat sack of shit would shed off 100lbs in a month.
