This is a good example of exposing for the background then completely forgetting about the foreground, if this shot was setup, a reflector, a flash. Anything! The flatness and slight underexposure kills it.

Too much empty space above her head, it looks like you put the center focus point on her eye and framed like that, you're also too high, if you're taller than your subject get down to their eye level, sometimes shooting from their shoulder height works better also but depends on how close you're at.

The focus is off also and picture is extremely soft, might just be a bad lens. Try stopping down one stop at least.

This particular picture i would have framed in landscape orientation rather than portrait, i'd leave empty space into the direction that she is looking. Lighting is soft and appealing but also casts shade on her eyes and weak catchlights which don't make them pop and give a "dead eyes" feel. Also looks completely unedited, should definitely attempt to do some edits, i tried some basic adjustments but the jpeg isn't really suited for it and can't fix the softness.

Should have definitely used some lighting of your own, a simple speed light + umbrella is the cheapest/fastest route but it creates lots of ambient spill. A small softbox at low power close to her just to throw a hint of highlight definition o n her face and add some life into her eyes, even a simple reflector could have done the trick to get more. I mean if you're going into as much trouble as hiring models and you're serious enough to call it a photo shoot then I really don't see why you're neglecting basic lighting. And don't use the excuse of 'I shoot natural light only' there's no bigger admission of ignorance.

The pose is also terrible and not at all appealing, she's partly covering her face with her hand and the way she has her arm makes it look unflattering. The framing is too tight on the sides and subject appears soft, Another symptom of bad light. The post processing is good and appealing though.

I'm only giving you a hard time due to lost potential, it's a good choice of setting and could have been a lot better with some small alterations.

this photo is just kind of boring. for sparklers/bonfire type lighting i'd advise against using flash (as it will inevitably have a different colour temp to other sources and won't look aesthetic or natural), instead try and get mad creative with the available light.

Just a single 90x90cm softbox on camera left.
Very simple setup, post processing was more gruelling, lots of masking and lowering background contrast and black point to make it "pop" more, i tried to do something akin to this picture by Joey L, but looking back the skin tones are too yellow.

(decor choices are not something i deal with in our household desu).
