I can see that this guy is getting some mixed reactions. Saw some of his videos and although appreciate the fact that he's out making videos and shooting a presumably dead format his channel doesn't lead on to anything creative or original. Color grading on the vids is generic cool color filter with added vignetting with boring monologues by the presenter.

Anyway I saw a younger guy on YT the other day that reminded me of a mix of Ted Forbes and Michael Raso. Although he just sits in front of a camera and blabbers on about cameras he seems more genuinely interested in the things he owns and shoots when making mention of certain gear. His videos also aren't as drawn out as most (3-10 minutes). Forget the name of the channel but he is upcoming in the analog photo world.

The 1st thing:

NegativeFeedback is enjoyable and relaxing to watch, but the photographs they take (with the exception of the full format/medium format portrait episode) are seriously lacking in terms of composition. A shame, really.

Man, old videos form Matt Day were so great compared to now. Back when that channel first started it was almost all technique based stuff and shooting philosophy with only the occasional gear review, but then the gear stuff just started getting more and more common. It sucks because he seems like a pretty cool, chill guy but he's totally obsessed with gear and completely in denial about it. There are still flashes of the great content at least, particularly when he shows the photos he's been taking at the end of a vid. There's just a million channels already where blokes sit and talk you through how the film advance feels, and how the viewfinder looks, but so comparatively few about the other aspects of photography. It's such a "boys toys" thing and it's boring as fuck.
