Someone was trying to tell me that bigger sized fish you shouldn't hold vertical because of their vertebra could get dislodged or something and they won't make it.

I strictly fish salt water and have caught my fair share of large sized red and black drum and I always revive them back to where they swim away on their own after holding them vertical and have never seen one come belly up even sitting in a spot for a few hours after. What's your thoughts guys?

I was thinking holding it horizontal like a bicycle, but it would only work for short yaks <8'. Didn't realize you could lay it in the bed like that. Why is this not an option in anon's Jeep? That looks like a good idea, Wranglers have a fold down gate like pickups anyway, right?

Wow the river is huge now, about 60% bigger than a few days ago and at that point it was already pretty high. There is the main river channel, then a low area inside the levees, then the main levees. During the summer the river is in the bottom of the channel. When they started releasing water from the dam it filled up the entire channel but the paths along the river were still open. Now it has flooded the entire low area inside the levees, including the bike path and a golf course. Pretty wild looking.

In this picture, the fence you see is the boundary fence for the golf course, which is over fifteen feet above water level during the summer. The good thing is there are some creeks which are still fishable, but I might not be able to get there since the bike path is underwater in some places.

That happens here nearly every time it rains for a few days. Everything is clay soil, so all the water is thick chocolate.

>>948237
Did you try the red circles in the image in the other thread?
>>
>>948248
I did and then some. I noticed there was a weed bed like 10-15 from shore around most of the lake and I tried to run a rattle trap over the top of it, but I kept on managing to come back with big gobs of grass. I didn't have a top water with me, but it was almost too windy to mess with that anyway.

I also couldn't figure out where the deep end was it seemed like it had the same depth all around.

The water was pretty cold and it was overcast, so I bet most of the fish were more towards the middle of the lake. I'll take my boat one day and figure it out.

The google image actually look pretty meek for structure. I'd have used live bait. Either worms or baitfish. Probably something that would drop shot into the grass with a bobber to keep the bait just about it.

I've been measuring the wrangler and it's a bit of a cluster fuck. Bed is very short. I'm probably going to have to trailer it. I love all these tards pretending a 300 pound loaded kayak is easy peasy to load onto a wranglers roof. I'm going to give it a shot and return the hitch extender if it doesn't work.

Such stupid bullshit. Base kayak is 130 pounds. 4 to 6 rods. Yeti cooler. GPS and batter for LED light install as well. Small live well bait box behind the chair. Easily 50 pounds of tackle. Water for drinking. Food. Net. Cast net. Anchor. Mini power pole. PLUS CAMPING GEAR. Etc etc. I would love to see these fat fucks calling me a kid just lift that willy nilly onto a cars roof twice a weekend. Fucking fags.

The kayak is 13 feet 8 inches long and supports 600 pound total weight. Just because you land whales are 300 pounds and can only bring one pole and a cuck tier baby tackle box doesn't mean I can't load 200 pounds of gear onto mine.

>>948199
>>948154
Just for reference. These are not the kayak style you tough guys think I'm getting and how a kid like me couldn't lift them. Pic related is the yak. So yeah. Go and lift that alone fags. Pic related is a pretty lightly rigged boat as well.

Oh that sucks. I didn't realize they swing, I thought it folded down. But that isn't a huge deal if you can secure the door so it doesn't swing and slam into the side of the kayak.

>>948241
Yee

That company has some interesting soft baits too.

>>948293
You have rear seats in the thing or no? Even without the seats, what is it like 4'? I mean if you can get the nose of the kayak up between the front seats, you should be straight with that hitch deal. Only concern is if you have a trolling motor and battery at the very rear of the kayak. You might want to shift some weight forward for travel but I'm sure those things are fairly secure if they are still selling them.

Just reminded me of a couple months back I was behind some SUV that had two kayaks on a roof rack. The one kayak was shifted a bit sideways somehow and we were doing like 70mph and I thought the thing would for sure catch the wind and take off.

Went out fishing for cisco, and caught this big momma in the middle of the day 10 feet under the ice in 40 FOW. I was using a little 6 inch hand auger and it barely fit through the hole! I have always heard they are only active at night and stay on the bottom, but she came in right after a school of baitfish way up high in the water column. Even stranger was that it was in a smallish inland lake in northern MN, I always thought they only lived in the big lakes around here. A lot of people call them ugly, but I love the colors on them. I feel sort of bad because I fucked its gills up a bit when landing. I didn't want to keep it because it was big enough to have more mercury than I would like, and it was full of eggs for the spawn in a few weeks. I really hope it made it, but I doubt it.

Bonus cisco from the same spot. Sorry for the crappy picture. 19 inches, 2lb 7oz, so really big for a cisco around here. It tasted great, despite what people say about them. Just REALLY need to make sure to get the skin and dark meat off them, alongside the annoying bones just like trout. Some guy told me that he caught an actual whitefish (not cisco) out of the same lake, so that's what I am hoping for tomorrow. I didn't measure the burbot because I forgot a ruler.
>>
>>948303
I have the rear seat removed so like 4 feet of bed almost. I'm just worried vibration wise if a hitch extender will hold enough of the weight with all that bottom uncovered and not fuck up the kayak. It will probably be fine so the extender will get a test run. If it doesn't work I'm buying a trailer and going to be sad and deal with it. Again....this is why I insured the kayak and gear. I will only have the mini power pole for kayaks on the back no trolling motor. All pedal power baby. You can camp on lake rims in Arizona so you don't have to leave every night.

>>948296
Easily 300 pounds with camping gear. Summer months in AZ = lots of water if I don't feel like filter pumping water. You can camp on almost all the big lakes here. And by lakes I mean resovoirs.

>>948302
YEAH MAN NO ONE EVER LOADS A BOAT WITH GEAR ON OR IN IT. BETTER TAKE THE ENGINE OFF THAT TRACKER BASS BOAT BEFORE YOU DANGEROUSLY LOAD IT ONTO A TRAILER.

I better be extra safe and take the seat out of the kayak. God forbid I spend anything less than 1 and half hours loading the kayak all up after I get it on the ground at the launch point. Better take the landing gear wheels off each time as well. In fact I should remove every single lure from each tackle box space the same way I remove the tackle boxes from the storage bins on the kayak each time.

Because I don't like the hassle of more expensive insurance. A much bigger trailer or haul in mountain Arizona roads. I run every day. So now I get exercise on the water as well. Etc etc.

If you have ever owned a motorized bass boat you should know how much of pain in the ass they can be.

The kayak allows for lots of DIY fun too

Or just general tips for sea trout in this dreadful cold weather. Fucking hell...

Seabass is on vacay right now where i live.

Theres the occasional sighting of mullet, but i don't know how to into snagging mullet.

I aint seen an ybluefish around either...
>>
>>948463
Mullets are around here during the summer as well...
Been thinking about giving them a shot next summer actually. Last summer I scared several schools of what I am 95% sure was mullets judging by behaviour and shape of th tail fin.
Here they usually catch mullets either using white bread or a small green seaweed-like fly.
I could dig up some articles (in Danish) for you if you are interested...
They should be great sport and good eating so give it a go mate.
>>
>>948466
Yeah i know the standard hook n bobber system for mullet, but that doesnt work out that well in a fast flowing creek mouth (Where it flows into the sea)

Snagging is basically having a weighted treble hook, and yanking it hard when you feel movement on the line. Only works when you have a school of mullet.

Otherwise i need to learn to throw my cast net, and go look for mullet around here.
>>
>>948466
>>948470
You aren't going to hook a mullet, their mouths are too small. You can get one on a hook, but it's very rare because their mouths. But if you get a hold of the big ones (8inches+) filet them and fry them the same day and you'll have one of the best tasting fish, but let them sit too long and it'll be ass
>>
>>948470
'Snagging' is nasty as hell (I did not know this was what you were refering to). Stay away from that sort of degeneracy...
>>948482
Well, it's possible. Hard as hell which is why it is good sport. Their small, bony mouths make it hard. Not to mention how shy they are. And that they are largely herbivores...
Lots of challenges but far from impossible.

Yes you are. Depending on the actual kind of mullet, they grow anywhere between too small, up to 8 kilos almost.

The really huge ones are likely to get speared, but the ones 200gr to a kilo are often caught on hook n bobber or hook n weight, with a bit of bread.

Actually I did run one of the three Crystal Minnows for like 5min. The other two still have the green twist ties on em from the package.

For every type of bait, I have my favorites. If I'm running a stick bait like that, I really like the gold X-Raps and will run those 80% of the time. If I want to run an inline spinner, Mepps Agila with a gold or silver blade and natural brown skirt is my first choice.

Plus with the weather down here, I am so limited as to when the fish will actually go for hardbaits anyway. From April to November I have to run Texas rigged soft baits if I want to catch any bass except for like a 20min window at dusk when I can run a jerkbait and occaisionally get a hungry bass.

Since I eat what I catch I also inspect the stomach contents so I know precisely what the fish are eating at that time. Then I can switch to lures that imitate it.
>>
>>948573
I always hear that, but I run into situations that tell me otherwise. Like all this past summer and fall when I would go to this little lake down the street in the afternoon, about 30min before sunset you would see the baitfish start running towards the surface as the bass and Mayans were chasing them. Throwing a little silver Rapala that imitates the baitfish almost never worked. But then I would Texas rig a baby brush hog and throw that where the baitfish were running and the bass would grab it almost immediately. It's like the bass see a larger and slower target nearby and go right for it. Kinda strange but it worked like this all summer and fall.
>>

>silver lure 30mins b4 sunset

With the smaller fish, their weight is so light that they wont suffer jaw damage if you hold them by it. Ive heard that with larger fish, if they are held vertical, their organs shift around in weird ways and thats what can do them in if you havent broken his jaw already. Always remember that when holding large fish horizontally, to support their belly with your hand as well.

Occasionally they have trashed fins and other times they don't. It seems to depend on the run or pond they were raised in and the strain of trout. When we get stocks with the yellow trout mixed in the fins are less fucked up.
>>
>>948711
i still think theyre probably overcrowded, never ever seen fins that fucked
>>
>>948712
Overcrowding wouldn't surprise me. In the circular tanks the rub the walls though. I have raised them in small circular tanks before when I did research for them in school and that happens. They constantly tail brush the wall on never ending left turns against the water flow.

I noticed certain. Rainbow trout orders don't hold up as well or grow out well sometimes too.
>>
>>948714
rainbows seem to get sick less than browns , but they die eassier due to stress, lack of d.o., overeating etc
>>
>>948718
All I know is the meat looks great on those filets even if their fins were trashed lol. I may smoke and dehydrate them or oven cook them. Can't decide.

I bought some extra fine glitter for the wooden lures I've been making. Initial tests prove that it will go a very long ways. It looks amazing in person and the camera doesn't even begin to do it justice; even if I can get it to focus on it.

Only when I go on vacation. There's a couple places I go that have massive amounts of carp. you are basically there just to have fun fighting. There's 0 challenge in catching them. Just put a white cloth on a hook and hold on. I do this in areas where tourists feed them bread of course. Some are the size of a small child, but those rarely bite. Luckily, I don't live in an area where they are common at all.

>>948689

its mostly surroundings to be honest
at our hatchery we have 3 different species of trout all kept in bot cement and dirt ponds
it mostly shows up in brookies but the brookies that grow up in the more natural dirt ponds come out looking 10x better than the cement brookies even though theyre fed the same etc

also occationally fish get up into the pipes an live there for a year or so ( in total darkness) and they come out with wicked colors

Lillies are the worst because once you get wrapped around some big ones, you are done. If you can't get around them, either topwater or something heavy that you can weave around. I have run Texas rigs through lillies and you can run Texas rigged stuff with light weights or even weightless along the top of them. Best bet is to use heavy braid so you can crank the fish in before they wrap you up or rip out the lillies if you need to.

>>948767
Pretty much just local small ponds where they infest the place. Often times they are the biggest fish in these small ponds so just cast out a treble with some bread and wait for them. It was mostly common (European) carp around there but we have more grass carp here which get bigger. Lots of places around here in FL have the grass carp as vegetation control so there are some places where it is illegal to target them.

Got pliers and nail cutter on those retractables too.

Beats the hell out of any other storage if you ask me; unless you can get everything you need in a fanny pack. Or similar small pack that stays on your side and not ur back.

Fishing from the beach is rough unless you are surfcasting with a 12' rod. Better off going from piers or jetties or inlets. But I'm the wrong person to ask since I live a couple blocks from the ocean and fish freshwater 98% of the time.

Penn combos like the Fierce, Battle, or Spinfisher are great for salt if you want something that will last. They range from $80-$200 depending on model and size. And you gotta figure out exactly what you are trying to do before you pick a size. If you have a Bass Pro nearby, they could help. Local tackle places are the best for advice but they don't always have the greatest selection especially when it comes to budget stuff. Bass Pro has their "Offshore Angler" brand or whatever and they have lots of affordable salt stuff. Otherwise Walmart has cheap ass stuff all the time. But if you think you will stick with the hobby, drop $100 on a Penn Fierce and it will last for years.

Where are you at btw? Somebody else from your area could give you more info.

also wondering what rig/ line i should use for fishing with live bluegill.
can i use a surf/rod reel to catfish in a freshwater resovoir? are circle hooks a necessity?
>>
>>949384
Use a length of mono as a leader for your line when using top water lures.

There are several ways to rig live bait (google), but for a circle hook make sure to keep it at the bottom of the hook. Hook the bait at an angle so the bait can't flip up and foul the hook. No circle hooks are not necessary. They are intended to help prevent stress on the fish as well as provide a solid place to hook the fish. That is they are designed to only hook in the corner of the mouth. For flathead catfish it is best to have lively baitfish, so hooking them properly to ensure they are lively is a must. For most other catfish species it doesn't matter as much.

Yes, you can use a saltwater rod/reel to fish for catfish, but you may find it is cumbersome since most catfish are pretty small compared to saltwater fish. Large flathead catfish are the only ones that would make you feel like it was worth using that sort of rod. If you need casting distance then go right ahead and use one.

Pretty sure it's a bowfin actually, here's another pic for reference.

I'm still new to fishing, so I don't want to spend a ton, maybe in the $50-100 range.

Lel now I'm confused. Is that the same fish in both pics? Can't tell if bowfin meme or I need to stop looking at this little phone screen. That is a fat body for a bowfin tho.

As for rods, Fenwick Eagle for $60 is nice. Shimano Sellus for the same price are ok but kinda stiff but would be decent if you run a lot of 1/2oz-1oz stuff. Berkley Lightning Rod Shocks are great for $40 (Bass Peo sells the LR Shock for $50 so tell them to price match Walmart if you buy there). Abu Vendetta for $80 are a step nicer and good all around. Bass Pro Bionic Blades are normally $80 but have been on sale for $50-$60 so that wouldn't be a bad rod at all for that price.

Tackle Warehouse might still have Abu rods on sale too. I think the Veritas rods were $80 off of $100 and the Vendettas might be on sale too. Just don't get raped on shipping.

And I recommend 6'6"-7' or possibly even a little longer depending on preference. And the President 35 is slightly larger than most medium spinning reels, so you could run a M or MH rod depending on brand, line weight, and lure weight. I have my President 30 on a 6'6" M rod with 15lb braid and my 35 on a 6'6" MH with 30lb braid. The MH rod with the 35 is pretty damn stiff tho so that one only likes >1/2oz lures but is good for heavy jigs n ripping stuff through heavy weeds.

>tl;dr:
Just don't buy an Ugly Stik.

Oh shit and I guess I will add, if you want to keep it real cheap, if you are near the Gander Mtn in Palm Beach, I think they have those Vortex rods on sale for $19.99. I would probably go with the 6'6" MH on that unless you cast a lot of <1/4oz stuff then get the M. They are def a $50 rod. I don't even need one but whenever I'm there I stare at em and debate buying like 3 of them.

Ya it's the same fish lol. Second pic you can see the dorsal fin a bit better. No tail spot like most bowfins but I think the females don't have one?

I'm mostly fishing live bait and medium to lighter weight artificials. I caught that guy on a jewel cichlid that I caught on a cane pole.

I'm mostly using stuff like Mepps, assorted Rapalas, some topwater stuff like Heddon baby torpedoes. I have a couple of cranks, too, and some soft baits. I admit I don't really know wtf I'm doing yet though lol.

I've got 20lb Powerpro on the reel right now which is probably overkill for most of what's in the canals but since braid is super thin I just tossed a shitload of the stuff on there.

What's the diff between the Vendettas and Veritas?

Veritas and Vendettas are close. The Veritas normally retails for $100 while the Vendetta is $80. The blank is a bit nicer.

Sounds like you probably just want a M then with what you are running. Depends on the action and rod tho. Like the Fenwick Eagle in a M has a bit slower action and is more sensitive, so it isn't the best with 1/2oz+ baits like heavy Rat-L-Traps but the Abu rods in a M with a faster action will handle 1/2oz-3/4oz lures fairly well. On the other hand the M Fenwick with slower action will launch a 1/6oz Mepps or Rapala a little better than the faster Abu since it flexes a bit more at the tip. That's why the pro bass dudes have a million rods. Certain ones just like certain lures better.

But if you are looking at those Abu rods, a M Vendetta or Veritas will be a nice light rod and they handle everything from 1/8oz up to 1oz well. 6'6" or 7' depending what you are comfortable with. A couple other people here have those rods and nobody has had anything bad to say.

And that first bowfin pic just reminds me of pic related. A nice dark fat largemouth. Normally the bowfin are a bit more slender and sometimes look more brown instead of dark green. Plus you can't see the fins in that pic.

I have a 5'6" Micro Shakespeare with that Sienna 500 reel right now. It was on a 5' Ugly Stik for a long time but I just got so sick of that fiberglass and shitty action that I swapped it out. Next light combo I do, I'm going to try something longer. Probably closer to 7' with some fast action. It would be nice to flick 1/16oz baits and actually get some distance.

I still really want to find something that is slightly heavier than a UL and not a M but there isn't a big selection. Using lighter braid (6lb-10lb) it would be nice to have a 6'6"-7' L rod that can handle 1/8oz-1/4oz lures well but still bend a little to cast 1/16oz stuff and won't totally buckle under a 2lb largemouth.

Who the fuck lists rods in inches and not feet? You need at a minimum a 7 foot rod to launch lures. 8 feet is even better if the action and rod power is correct for the lure weight thrown and you don't have 50lb mono spooled up like a tard . Less than 1/8th ounce lures should be casted on spinning gear.

I wouldn't bother with braid on so light a setup, you might as well use 4 lb mono or maybe even 2lb and benefit from the smoother texture for casting light lures. Or get some 4lb fireline.

the braid makes it nice because i can throw a 12 lb flouro leader on it and throw larger lures for pickerel, bass or anything

Yeah the 10lb braid is nice on those 2000-2500 size reels but I'm thinking about getting rid of the 6lb on the 500 reel and just going back to 4lb mono or maybe the Fireline. But half the problem with the 6lb braid is I let some new people use it right after I spooled it and I think there are still some knots buried somewhere in there.

I'm finally getting used to that lefty casting reel but I can't decide yet what I pefer. I mean you don't have to switch hands but you still have to slide your hand up to palm it.

I think I like that high speed retrieve on it tho. It's easier to crank slow on a high speed reel than it is to retrieve fast over weeds with a slow reel.

But you switch hands during the cast. The reel is in my left hand by the time the lure hits the water and I'm usually stopping the spool with my left thumb. Also, I would have to move my right hand anyway since I palm the reel, which would be a much bigger hassle imo.

And I'm pretty sure I've got a decent idea of how I cast. A left hand retrieve would take longer for me to get from the cast to reeling since I palm the reel.

I would have to hold the rod with my left hand and move my hand up from where it was when I was casting. I'd rather just bring my hands together during the cast like a normal person.
>>

>>
>>950230
Do it. Topwater fishing is so much fun and a thrill. Nothing beats actually seeing the fish take your lure in an explosion of water.
If you ca try targeting pike with it as well. Usually you get to see a bulge in the water a second or two before it hits the lure so you reach adrenaline level 9001 and THEN the fish hits it... good times... I miss my young days of fishing for pike in all the small ponds and lakes around my childhood home...
No idea on your gear-question though.

im assuming its going to be ostly browns and rainbows?

what ive found works well for trout is small minniws actually , hooked like a dropshot
live is best but thats mostly only browns
>>
>>950924
look up the tournament rules first before committing to a tactic.
If the fish are just stocked then they'll definitely appreciate the powerbait stuff, but if they have been in the waters for a while perhaps natural baits would be preferred?
>>
>>950936
never got the stocked trout powerbait meme
>>
>>950881
They have closed bass seasons in quite a few places up north. Not sure how you can really refrain from catching them. But in cold area like that, it takes years for the fish to even hit 2-3lbs.

My old neighbor has a cabin up in Eagle River, WI and I remember him teling me about the late bass seasons there. In the meantime you just go for walleye and northern pike.

i am unfamiliar with this particular maymay
>>

>>950949
ive just heard powerbait works best on stocked trout since they've been accustomed to eating stuff similar to whats in powerbait in the hatcheries.
Sorry if thats wrong, new angler here
>>
How can I catch pike through the ice?
>>
>>950927
i think its just rnbw. probably all less than 12 in. maybe a few brooke thrown in but i doubt it.
how much weight do you use on your dropshot? i think the stream is fairly shallow with maybe a few pockets that are waist deep.
>>950936
i think they dump em in like the day of the tournament, so i'm honestly not even sure they'll bite anything lol. rules dont say anything about what kind of lure, just no trotlines, snagging or faggotry in general. what kind of powerbait are you talkin? the playdough stuff?
>>
>>950960
never actually done it but tip ups with minnows seems to be the way

trout magnets
yozuri pinminnows
powerbait trout worms (egg and tail)
nightcrawlers
power nuggets in hatchery color

crawler nugget combo is deadly
the egg and tail worms are deadly
trout magnets work good

So I tried taking out my new casting combo today and getting some practice in.

I-I don't think I can do it lads... I want to cry. I was using mono because I heard its better to learn with the more difficult line, should I switch to braid so I can actually cast the thing without wanting to kill myself every 3 casts?
>>
>>950960
Tipup with a shiner or deadsticking minnows.
>>
>>950981
Use heavier mono and lures mang

If anything mono is easier to use on baitcasters. Braid digs into itself on the spool and can cause backlashes you wouldn't get on mono.

It just takes practice to figure the right brake and tension settings for the weight, type of lure, and wind. And you have to get the casting motion down. Baitcasters like nice flat, low, fast casts instead of lobbing it at a 45deg angle like with spinning setups.

My copypasta on them is in the pastebin. Idk what all is even in there. It might need some updating. Somebody else mentioned that the brakes are useful if you are getting backlashes at the start of the cast when the line is moving fast and the spool tensioner helps more at the end of the cast when the bait is about to land. Lately I have been leaving the spool tension real low and only adjusting the brakes depending on the wind and lure. Works for me as long as I catch the spool with my thumb on time.

Those things are adorable.
but how are does something like this taste if simply cooked, maybe like fried?
Also what about their spines?
>>

Nibblesworth Jr!

>>950981
And also what TXfag said. Heavier, low profile lures like jigs or lipless cranks ar super easy to use without backlashiing. Low density baits that catch the wind easier will backlash more if you aren't careful. Stuff like topwater baits and light spinners.
>>
I see fly reels on ice rods, they use it for no line twist. if one is put on a spinning rod, what's the difference that it makes?

Alright thanks guys. I think I will be fine with a lot of line and practice. I had no problem pulling out the backlashes until the line decided to tie itself in a knot. I just hate how such a simple device can be so difficult. Oh well, tomorrows another day. I was using 17lb test so I think my line is good.
>>
>>951003
Also I was using a 3/8 oz bass jig with a craw trailer so I think the lure weight was fine too. 7'0 MH rod.
>>
>>951003
>>951004
You will be straight. Just use the advice for setting the spool tention in the pastebin. I think that's basically what Abu puts on their instructions. And then set the brakes fairly high and back off as you get comfortable. Avoid casting into the wind and get the motion of those flat casts down and you should be fine.

And the random knot, who knows. I have a habit (with spinning and casting reels) of using my fingers to keep tension on the line to avoid little knots like that. When I palm the reel, I will run the line through my thumb and index finger so it keeps tension on the spool and lets me feel if there are any knots or abraision in the line. Idk if that is the right way to do things but I have never had one of those so called "wind knots" so it might be working.

It wouldn't hurt to bump up the lure weight to 1/2oz or 5/8oz, but like you said you'll get it with practice.

The most important things when learning are don't focus on distance and be smooth.

It's worth trying one. I like them in certain situations. And as I get more comfortable with them, it seems like it takes less effort to get good and accurate casts.

Plus you get to look down on the plebs using spinning reels like poor children.

Things I have trout success with: tiny curly grub on a light jighead. Powerbait dough under a float + split shot. Small gold panther martins or sometimes an acme phoebe spoon. Those three cover the range of bait>finesse lure>aggressive lure pretty well. Good luck.

Some of us like a challenge...

I haven't had a bad backlash in a long, long time tho. Since I first started using memecasters, I think I have backlashed it once bad enough to cut it off.

That isn't logical. You are not mountain climbing.

Same reason I prefer lures over live bait and my favorite puzzles are old ones that are missing 4 or 5 pieces.

Anyway time for new bread

Holy fuck I never even seen a backlash that bad. Do you have your breaks set right?

Spinning reels do twist a little, I can explain a way you can see it happev

Grab a piece of string, coil it around your hand and pull it straight up and off, then do that a few times, you will see it twist.

Easiest thing is to learn to sse a riptide. Set up on the edge of that
