I have seen a lot more urbex here than any other board. I try to do as much urbex as possible but it is getting cold here. Go to anything interesting recently?

A few days ago, I actually revisited the Clothcraft Clothing Factory, the first building I ever explored in Cleveland. I didn't get any pictures that visit, but I did shoot a decent YouTube video. Earlier this summer, I got to visit an entire abandoned neighborhood in Pittsburgh with about 20 abandoned houses.

Interesting, I am in Columbus. I have never been to Cleveland (not a native Ohioan) or Pittsburgh for the sole intent of urbex but both might get in to my sights. It would be a little bit of a drive for you but here is a really big hospital in Richmond, IN that is super creepy and interesting to explore. I haven't been to it in 2 or so years but I bet it is still there. Only trouble was it was -somewhat- close to main roads but 'main' roads in Richmond are like back roads most other places. I never had any trouble.
>>
>>632877
This April, I'm doing a massive roadtrip, moving to Alaska, and stopping at every urbex location that I can along the way. I'll definitely see if I can stop there as part of the trip.

>ruhr valley
>western Germany, NRW to be precise
all the big cities like Oberhausen, Duisburg, Essen, Dortmund, etc have had a shitton of steel and coal industry build in the 50ies. Coal is "dirty" these days because muh Co2 so thats no longer subsidized, and steel is cheaply contracted from china, so no monies there either. No cash = industry shuts down, and since you can hardly remove those massive concrete and steel structures, they sometimes just left them rot.
No industry= no more need for our ginormously overengineered railway system, so there's a bunch of abandonned cargo rail stations around too (pic related).
What exactly are you looking for?

Just anything close to the Dutch border, and nothing too risky in terms of chances getting caught. I' m wondering how bundespolizei is with trespassers.

Anything industrial being reclaimed by nature is awesome. Tall structures take the cake, of course.

How do you find good places without having to drive around in NRW? Don't mind spending a load on gas money, as long as it's not wasted on driving around endlessly, looking for a place.
Google Maps and Bing are friends, but they are outdated sometimes.

>I' m wondering how bundespolizei is with trespassers.
Friend of mine and a few others got caught geocaching on Bundesbahn real estate. They took their names and told them to gtfo because they might hurt themselves (loleurope). Few weeks later they send mail asking for the name of whoever put the cache there, because "giving incentive to commit a crime" apparently is a crime on its own. Of course the answer was "fuck if I know"

>>635161
>How do you find good places
Partly coincidence, partly because they are just THERE (thinking industrial ruins here), sometimes these threads, sometimes google maps.
