Last one reached bump limit.

Minor update: paid the small fee to have the art production mocked up. They'll send it across in 3-5 days. If I'm satisfied with that, I'll pay the outstanding cost and they'll go into full production. Which should take 10-15 days. So i will potentially have patches in my hands within 20 days ready to be shipped.

Now all we need to discuss is payment options people are happy with.

>Paypal
>Anons directly pay me, I package and send the patches
+Easiest method.
+Most people probably already have an account.
-Trust involved. Some people might not be happy sending payment to a stranger.
-Some people might not have an account.

There's Amazon Marketplace but it costs £25/month for the privilege and fuck that. Alternatively, we could explore the option of passing this off to /k/'s Nugget Store. I could send a bulk package to them to be sold through their website but dunno if we really want to lose control of our patch in such a way. Plus they might be a bit more expensive if they want to make a small profit whereas I will be selling them at cost.

Any other suggestions?
>>
If you're selling them at cost and it's like $10 for a patch+shipping, I'm happy with the PayPal option. If I get burned for $10, no big deal.

What backing did you go for?
>>
>>466448
You might want to consider doing batch shipping to Europe through some trusted eurobro to minimize the shipping cost.

I also remember /k/ doing it the other way around with a varusteleka order through some web interface. I think it was Rhodie who organized that.
>>
I've refused to post on 4chan.org ever since the "I'm not a robot" but damnit this patch made me break my promise to myself, I would definitely buy one from you. /out/ is the only good board here, and I thank you for restoring my faith in decent people.
>>
>>466448
Are you a eurobro? If so how much for a patch shipped to the USA. I'm down for two patches if shipping is not outrageous.
Paypal seems to be the best form of payment IMHO.
>>
Direct through paypal is kind of lame. There are free storefront options available that do the transactions automatically. Look around, I really want one of these buy would prefer a storefront option rather than paypal.

This is a good idea .
i dont want the moar bear patch but i did notice when reciently looking that there is a sad availability of basic identifier patches in the world.
I wanted a patch with a water drop on it to put on my rain gear bag.
No such thing.
Here is a good start.
Open a shop and you may be onto something.
Go forth and profit anon.

I would love to purchase a patch. However, I don't have a credit card, and sending money to a paypal account makes me a bit weary right now.
Via paypal, last year I had about $1800 stolen from my bank account. Wasn't happy about that. I had the money restored to my account, but I ended up living on ramen for two weeks.

Anyone know if these patches can be put on Osprey bags/material? I'll sew them on and I want to know if it's gonna ruin the bag. If it was cotton or canvas It'd be alright but cos' it's synthetic I have no clue.
>>
What would you need other identifiers for though? Give me some examples. Unless everything was packed into separate identical dry sacks/pouches but who would do that? You're going to know instantly where something is located or what something is because you're the one who bought it, packed it and uses it on a regular basis. You're not telling me you'll be confused as to which item in your sack is your sleeping bag, air bed or sleeping bag liner and would need a patch to tell you? Because they're going to be different shapes/sizes/colors.

I'm really struggling to find an application for this to be honest.

I'm happy with the paypal option.

I have a very old and well established paypal account and I trust the customer service. If I got burned I know I would succeed in a chargeback anyway.

It's at most a few bucks, hardly investment banking. Up to you bro but I'm not zero cool out to hack the Gibson, I'm just some guy selling some patches.

>>466478
Yup, Europe. Not sure yet, will inquire once patches have arrive and keep you guys informed.

>>466860
Nope, just standard patches that require sewing, for several reasons:

-There were a couple of requests specifically asking for no velcro in the first thread.
-They're cheaper
-Not everyone has a military style rucksack or clothing with velcro strips on them. For those that don't, it will be much harder to sew through velcro than it is to sew through a plain patch.

If you want a velcro backing, you could always attach one yourself.

>>466941
It has been decided, by me at least. The order's already placed. If others anons want to arrange a patch with velcro then that's their choice.

>>467048
The offer still stands on my end if you want me to send you some in a bulk package so you can sell them on to ausbros for cheaper local postage. Would save you from getting them produced yourself and would keep the patch consistent to all owners. Depends if you want velcro or not.

If you're signed in to your email, it is literally tying your post to that. That's how sometimes your post goes through without solving a captcha. With moot gone and no real accountability, the possibility that we're no longer anonymous is bretty real.

I've been posting from an app that bypasses the spooky captcha for the regular one.
>>
>>467201
Pro-Tip: if you're signed into your Google account and don't have add-ons like request policy or no script, you are tracked across ALL websites which is directly tied to your account, at least the ones running Google API's which in this day and age is 99% of them. Don't do that shit man. Log out and clear cookies when not needed.

Also, you're not anonymous on 4chan except to other users. Admins/Mods/NSA have access to your IP address and other metadata. You're only pseudonymous using things like VPN's, TOR etc. and even those aren't untraceable/unbreakable.

If you want anonymity, never go on the Internet, pay cash only for a shitload of food and gear and go innawoods permanently.
>>
>>467062

I made these silhouettes for the purpose of badges a long time ago but nobody ever did anything with them. I see other people did more designs like the ones in >>466547 and I'm especially in favor of the middle one, it's very /k/-esque.

I'll post some links to the .ai and .svg files I made so others can add onto them or whatever.

I wouldn't mind paypaling you. I definitely think we should look into having kommandostore carry them permanently though if possible. It would provide an accountable source for people that are on the fence and a place to purchase more if you get new gear, lose the patch, what its attached to, etc.

Right, this is the mock up I was sent. Just seeing if you guys are ok with the quality and would be willing to pay for one before I pull the trigger. That connecting strand in top left won't be there on the actual patch. Dunno what to make of it myself, I knew some detail would be lost with embroidery vs. vector but something seems a little "off" and I can't put my finger on it. Face looks a bit fucked up for a start. Dunno if it's just a shitty photo or what. Shall I just order them and see if they look better irl?

>>467222
Gonna look into creating a new account if possible, don't want to post my current PP account because it's [email protected] and fuck that.

>>467522
You could look into getting a one off patch made for yourself. There's tons of websites out there. It'll cost more since it's not a bulk order so I guess it depends how much you want one. I'll even add the text to the design and post it for you if you want.

It looks great, but why won't we use a better purchase system, like ebay or smth? I won't just send money to "anon from 4chan"
>>
>>467667
>like ebay
Which still requires Paypal.

See:
>>466510
Either you want a patch or you don't. Your choice. Maybe wait until some other anons have received theirs to see if it's legit?
>>
>>467675
I don't mind paypal, tho what can they do if op just won't deliver?
at least ebay has a reputation scale
>>
>>467695
Dunno, never had to cross that bridge. I know it has a dispute/fraud feature though so at least you won't lose your money.

You currently have two options:
1. Send money to "anon from 4chan" and in all likelihood receive a patch.
2. Don't.

Until a 3rd option presents itself, you have to place your chips somewhere.
>>
>>467695
You open a dispute. If it can not be resolved between buyer/seller (with paypal mediating) they refund your money in full. Will take about 30 days to get your money back.
Paypal is best option.
>>
>>466590
sew it on the strap somewhere
>>
>>467624
patchbro, I'll take half a dozen if its not outrageous to ship them to vancouver, canada.

Also, maybe you could ship an entire run overseas to an Canadian or American sc/out/ for cheaper distribution rather then individually mailing patches overseas. I'd offer but I travel too much for my job, no permanent fixed address really
>>
>>467713

But that would incur Paypal charges which will drive the cost up further.
>>
>>467601
Looks kinda cheap but I'd buy one.
>>
>>467601
I wish the border was thicker and more solid, but I'd still buy one.
>>
>>468293

>>
>>468338

anyhow, why should paypal refund so fast? sounds strange
>>
>>468339
It's because they're linked with ebay and have an excellent customer support team. The seller cannot withdraw the money until the refund period has passed, giving the buyer time to get the product and check it is good, if not they can request a refund and the seller can do jack shit about it.
