Could someone recommend a good, reasonably prices solar panel hat could be used in a rural setting?
Also what is some equipment that might be useful to buy alongside a solar panel?
I plan on buying one myself soon and setting it up in my parents' back garden to test it out and see how effective it might be.
I also plan on buying a battery pack too and other pieces of gear like that. I've heard that getting something that tells you when your battery is fully charged is a good idea, otherwise it damages it over time by over-charging.

Pic related is a guy who lived for 8 months or so in rural Canada using solar panels primarily as a means of charging a battery he used to power his laptop, a pump system to allow warm showers, flashlights and other things. He claimed it all cost under $450 including a battery etc.

That's about what it costs me per year for a 3 bedroom house, lights, washer, dryer, laptop desktop, fridge,freezer, tv, stereo, water heater and dragon dildoes. Until solar becomes more than 2% efficient it's only worth it if you are stuck in a cuck tent hiding from Trudeau

250w panel = $250
70ah deep cycle battery = $150
The rest on a charge controller and inverter.
Overkill for a phone.
You can power half a dozen phones, a laptop, a camera and a few lights at the same time on that.
Solar is still dumb btw.
And I live in an area with over 300 days of sunshine a year and installed my own 3500w 14 panel system.

Honestly the biggest problem with installing solar panels right now is that there are numerous groups close to designing panels that can be mass produced for much cheaper than they can be currently. I've heard estimates that prices per watt will be halved in the next 3 years. On top of the fact that John Goodenough claims to have created a near perfect battery that could change the way we think about home energy production. I don't know, do what works for you but I'm holding out a couple more years until some of these products are commercially available.
