Had a good thread on this a while back, let's try it again.

What does /out/ use to keep clean on or off the trail? I imagine here would focus more on natural, genuinely good products than /fa/ or elsewhere. Thanks again to anon from last thread that recommended this soap.

Post products for skin, hair, etc. Stay clean /out/!
>>
Speaking of hygiene do you think water bladders will give you cancer because they're made of plastic. I really don't like my water to be in plastic stuff. But sometimes I have no choice.

now im second guessing buying a camel bump thanks anon

Olive oil soap. Will do everything.
>>1011146
Aren't they made of magic plastic that doesn't do that? Also who cares, if that doesn't give you cancer something else will. Do you eat fish? They are mostly plastic these days.
>>
>>1011239
Many things in plastic can cause cancer. BPA is just the most known one for normies.
Why would anyone ever use plastic in the first place? Get a 800ml kleankanteen steel bottle.

The Granpa soap looks cool! I guess something to carry it in would be nice too.
>>
>>1011245
I just love drinking water from a tube. The pleasure I derive from it will easily trump the discomfort of the cancer I will get.
>>
>>1011146
Kleen kanteen sucka. If you don't want the super advanced lightweight carcinogenic tech, you're gonna have to deal with some weight or worse performance.

Btw, your tent is treated with flame retardant, water repellent, and a bunch of other cancer causing junk and you're sleeping in it 8 hours a night. You've probably got a rainshell or something treated with water repellent that causes cancer. Sunscreen, bug spray, meals stored in pouches, charred meat... if you try to avoid all carcinogens, you wouldn't be able to do anything.

>>1011078
I always fill a tiny bottle with Dr bronners liquid soap so I don't have to worry about storing a wet bar of soap.

Btw, what do you guys do about cleaning your mess kit without having to use too much water and not carrying around a filthy food covered rag?

someone in the last thread recommended Dr. Bronners and ive been loving it ever since.

Dr. Sasquatch is my mainstay though. I was actually going to order a few bars today because i'm running low on the pic related.

Nothing
I can go /out/ for 2 weeks, and bring nothing to keep clean other than a bandana

What the hell do all you guys do with the wet soap when you're done using it? How do you store it?

Am I the only one who uses liquid soap?
>>
>>1011743
In a zip lock bag.

Yea I know cancer is everywhere but the problem comes when I'm drinking from a plastic container daily for a few months straight. Starts to get pretty disturbing.
>>
>>1011850
Sounds like you need to ditch adult size Capri sun bag and get a kleen kanteen then.

Compare to normie fucking Dial which is like $0.15 an ounce.

No.

97% of all """cancer""" claims are jargon dug up by competing companies looking to take out the competition. Hence, why everything is cancerous these days

Something being carcinogenic just means that it can fuck with the DNA of a cell and mess with its capacity to replicate.
This is actually really easy, as since living things need constant reactions to sustain its being they are composed of molecules that have weak bonds, which is why we are such pussies when it comes to heat/acid/radiation.

I understand your skepticism since its such a prevalent statement that things are cancerous, and it does pretty much become a meme at some point as people start pointing at very specific ones (like BPA) in lieu of everything else.
Trust me, if you look at the bond energies of biochemicals and such it isn't surprising that we are so fragile.
I'm not sure the statistical relevance all the reported carcinogens, but it is INCREDIBLY easy for something to be carcinogenic, this includes hot water for example.

TLDR; Humans are made up of pussy covalent bonds that can't deal with oxidation/heat/radiation/life. Try to limit extraneous hazards that actually can easily fuck you up, like cigarettes and hanging out at your local waste dump.
Also the hemoglobin in red meat really can cause cancerous cells to form, but there are better reasons to eat it more sparingly I believe.

its like 10 dollars for a large bottle, and its hugely saponic
>>

Only problem is im pretty sure whoever runs this brand (Dr. Bronners) is a fucking nutter.
Cultish almost.
My gran used to have the liquid version of this soap. Made-up bible verses littered all over bottle. Very odd.

I'm going bald so I keep my head buzzed.

So...whatever I'm using on the rest of my body. Not like I've ever had issues with split ends or dandruff in my chest hair, the shorter and less dense hair on my head wouldn't be an issue.
