Is there such as a comfortable harness? I've always found them painful to wear, especially when you have shovels, water bottles, etc. Vests, like pic related, are comfy as fuck.

I went back to use simple webbing recently - just a few pouches, for poncho, binoculars, axe/long bayonet, small items, gun - after I encountered a group of boars and couldn't take out my pistol fast due to stress & all the shit that was in my way (carried gun under my jacket, in maxpedition thigh bag).
Luckily the boars stopped following me and went on their way.

Saying webbing is not practical in long walks is retarded, it distributes weight perfectly, and gives fast acces to shit you need fast access to.
