Friendly reminder that Formula Trout Racing league is about to commence this weekend; a racing community that specialise in open wheel racing.

2 seasons of experience and a handful of regulars who want new blood to challenge across the course of a season.

Dynamic racing league features personalised custom teams to participate in.

We will be using the Williams 2009 FW31 S1 to race with throughout this season.

● Each race will be 175km in distance.
● 10 minute Qualifying session (Fastest lap in Qualifying determines race tyre you start on).

I've run & volenteered at rallycross and a few amateur rally/hillclimbs

The best cost to success setups I've seen from competitors are dodge Neons or redblock volvo's

A good running example of either can be had for less than $4k easy, cheap and easy to work on as well. Plus if you total it you not out of pocket by much (at least by motorsport standards).

There's a point to doing this in soccer/hockey because women and men are biologically different to the point where it would actually be unsafe. Women's Team Canada versus, let's say, the Vancouver Canucks, full contact, is straight up dangerous. And everyone knows it.

Auto racing is basically one of the few physical sports where men & women are on a completely level playing field. It's just holding a steering wheel and pushing pedals. Sim racing even less so, because it's literally sitting in an office chair with a plastic fischer price toy attached to the computer desk.
