It's just outside inside outside for most everything
Drive the track very slowly, have your racing line on and look for objects near the braking zones such as trees, rocks, cracks in the road, the dark groove, people, braking boards on walls, an permanent fixture some shitter can't just knock away or destroy.
Keep going slowly until you know the track then keep increasing the speeds and then ramp it up to full attack. Remember to trail brake and always look to where you want the car to be next(which if you drive irl you should know what I mean)

I've been modding rFactor to shit, and every time I load up a race using the Ultimate GT3 or Tudor Sports Car mods I have, I keep hearing really loud clunking sounds coming from the pits that I can hear from halfway across the track. This only seems to be happening with modded tracks and only when there's a large grid (at least 25-30 cars), but when I load up practice or a small grid (5 or 10 cars) everything's quiet. Tried changing the number of effects in audio but didn't seem to help.

When I load a 30 car race on a stock track like the unlicensed Burgerking the pits are dead silent, but when I load a 30 car race on a modded track like Road Atlanta, I can hear the noise from the far end of the track as if I was standing right next to it. I'm not sure of that, I tried a fresh install of windows 10 since I only just this pc for games and I still get the errors. Gotta be hardware but I've replaced the ram twice, I don't see how it could be the gpu, that narrows it to either the processor or the board, and I think processor error would be more catastrophic than game crashes. If I had to make an uneducated guess, some ports are fried on my board and it's causing some errors using the ram or accessing my hdd. Can't be sure but a new board runs like 60 bucks so I spent money on that and a new processor. I hope my hdd or ssd isn't fucked though, those shits are expensive

Yeah, ran it before and after a clean install, threw tons of errors. I guess unless I feel like replacing the psu then the board is the last culprit. I'll build a new pc and set the suspect board up in an environment where I can test it more, at the very least I could sell it but Idk who wants a ddr3 board. When I say I replaced ram twice I mean that rules out faulty sticks and points towards either faults in the slots, or somewhere on the board. Probably slots seeing as how

If your issue is essentially GPU drivers shitting themselves, it probably is the GPU. Downclock your grafics core by 100 MHz, there's a myriad of tools that can do that and I use MSI Afterburner myself. I had intermittent stability issues in certain titles as well, tweaking the clocks fixed it.
